Porter Horses Lindsey's Aussies Did not honor stud contract Lawton Oklahoma
I've been in the dog industry for the majority of my life whether it's showing dogs in confirmation, schutzhund, agility, stock dog training, or occasionally breeding. I have had two very selective litters my entire "breeding career". I contacted Lindsey months before my toy aussie was coming into heat. We had agreed and arranged to ship semen from one of her stud dogs named "Hot Shot". I took my toy aussie to the vets and had her progesterone test done. She wasn't quiet ready yet and the vet said she should be ready around the end of the week (2 days for another re-test). I told Lindsey this and she said she already mailed the semen as the semen collection agency she works with is a 2 hour drive away and was already there to collect semen from a different dog and shipped it. I was pretty upset as my dog wasn't ready for the semen and even thought he semen has "an extender" to preserve it longer, it should still be used ASAP. Because of this, my toy aussie never took and Lindsey said we will try a second time during her next cycle.
6 months later I called, called, and called Lindsey and she never returned my calls. I spent over 2k for the vet expenses, shipping costs, and semen for an unsuccessful breeding. She said she would guarantee a breeding and she never honored our contract.
Apparently this has happened numerous times with other small breeders. Buyer beware.

Hello,
I'd like to give an update as I can't seem to figure out how to delete my orginal post. I spoke to Lindsey last week and have decided to move forward with using my credit towards a puppy. I picked out a puppy with the list price of $3500. With my $800 credit there was also $300 shipping so the total difference I now owed was $3000. She received my check last week and we're anxiously waiting for the new puppy to arrive! I also realized that a different breeder was spreading rumors, but recently found out they're untrue. I regret posting my last post and will try to find out how to take it down. I understand life can be crazy at times and I know I could never do what Lindsey does. I can't imagin how much work goes into raising and caring for her dogs. In the end bad things happen for good reasons and would happily recommend her to my friends and family. Our new puppy flys in next week & we can't wait to meet her! She's going to be one very spoiled little pup!
