I went to work for Jim Bakazan on August,30th, 2010. He sent me as a team driver with another man on august 30th on a run to N. Carolina. The trip was legal. Our split times on our logs were legal. He is refusing to pay me for this. On the 1st of september (I got home @ 2:30 am that morning) he sent me in the afternoon without any advanced notice. He wanted me to leave immediately .He said if I wanted to work for him I had to do this(This is my first solo OTR run, I've always driven solo/local or with my dad.)Around 7:30 I depart for Libertyville ,IL to pick up my load. I was to head out to Ithaca, NY with it. He wanted it there by 10AM central time. He also wanted me to start my log there at Libertyville and not Woodstock. Thats when I started getting a little suscpicous . I drove illegal and was really feeling fatigued once i got there. He told me to lie on my log books and not sleep because if I "you screw up your this run, I have no need for you." so I did it. And i found a place to catch up on my sleep and he got mad at me for sleeping the 10 legal hrs! He wanted me to avoid small fueling stations because they time stamped reciepts. I told him i could'nt work for him anymore after he told me he was going to give me $192 for both runs! And that "this job isn't for everybody" is what he said. Yeah if nobody wants to lose their CDL for him.
Do not trust this man he is bound to get caught soon. His wife gail corey who is probably being claimed as an employee besides other things is just as crooked. They have a ranch compound where the crappy equipment "truck yard" is situated with mean rabid dogs and he keeps rifles in his barn/shop in clear view. "So no one messes with mee wife the dog, and the dogs". Dont trust this man he is a crook. And posibly dangerous And he doesn't pay his employees. He still hasn't paid me, but we will see once the proper authorities are notified if he will. I have proof. And I hope this arrogant s****.>

Andy Guzman started work on August 25, 2010. This was a training day/ride-along (without pay) with one of our experienced drivers, doing a run to North Carolina. On September 1, 2010 he did a run to Ithaca NY solo that paid him much more than he indicated. He had more than enough time to get there legally. We do not and cannot force a driver to drive past his or her legal drive time. Andy spent 3 days doing this run. This alone is the truth. Unfortunately, anyone at any time can go to this site and slam your reputation. This could happen to you. If Andy comes to your company for employment, be aware. We are not refusing to pay him. He will be paid Friday September 10th, which is our regular pay day and he was informed of that. He told me, "no, this is the way it is going to be, you pay me now or else." I guess this is what he meant when he said "or else." He was told that he and all drivers are on-call and that he would have to respond immediately. We are an expediting trucking company and that's how it is done. No one forced him to take this position and we regret offering it to him. He falsified his information and lied during his interview. Our dogs are our pets. The riffles he is referring to are vintage Daisy BB riffles. Our reputation speaks for itself. We do not want to make this an on line war, and we will not do so. We needed to dispute his accusations. We apologies for Andy's. We feel that he knows not what he does. Andy is a very disturbed and confused young man.
