I keep a very close eye on my bank records and noticed that approx. $25.00 was missing from my account. I went to the bank and asked for a statement, which indicated that a "company" called Premier readers service had pulled this out of my account without my knowledge. I searched the company online and came across their website (that looks very shady in itself) and found a phone number that I could call. I called the number to ask why they were pulling this money from my account and they told me that it was because I ordered magazines with my account number.

I told them that I had never ordered any magazines and to cancel this so-called subscription that I had supposedly made. They responded by saying that it is impossible to cancel the subscriptions and that they could not refund the money that they had already pulled out of my account. I told them that I had not even received a magazine yet, and they continued to say that it did not matter and that they could not stop the magazines (that I'm not in the least bit interested in) from coming, or the bills from getting bigger and bigger.

I then contacted my bank and told them about this and we worked out a way that the company could not get into the account. However since this the magazines still keep coming, the bills they send keep getting larger, and my girlfriend and I are getting more calls everyday from this company saying that we owe them money. I'm afraid they are going to find another way to steal this money from me.

What is so strange about this is I don't know how they got my card #. I do not even use e-bay because I don't want something like this happening. What is even stranger is that they got my girlfriends cell phone number as well. At the time we didn't have any bills or anything in our names together that would associate her with me. How is this possible????

Yesterday I filed a report with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) about this company. Rep's from the Premier readers service claim they are accredited by the BBB but if you look the company up on www.BBB.org you can easily find that they are in fact NOT. Premier readers service was also already in the BBB's system, therefore other people have already complained about them.

Please, if you have had trouble with this company as well, fill out a report on BBB.org as well as ripoffreport.com. There is strength in numbers. The more of us that come forward, the better our chances of getting our money back and stopping this scam for good.

I recieved my last phone call from this company a couple days ago. They called and went through the regular routine of how we owed them money for a subscription i had made and how there was no way we could cancel these subscriptions and no refunds for the money that had already been pulled out could be given, but this time i responded different. I said, " Do not contact me anymore. Anything you need to know you can ask the Better Buisness Bureau, they will be contacting you soon." The man on the phone responded like this, " O.k., well we may have to go to a third party to collect our money,... wait,.. i'm a nice guy,... if you just really want us off your back and to leave you alone the best way of doing that is to pay off the statement in two installments of (approx.) $300.00 over the never two months." Of coarse i was outraged and responded by saying "i'm not paying you two dollars." He then said, " o.k., if you really want us out of your hair then you can go ahead and pay it all in full right away" At this point i thought "this guy must think it's opposite day or something. I'm complaining because they took $24.99 out of my account and now he want's me to pay $600.00? Well, today the BBB recieved a response from the company which they fowarded to me. Dear Ms. Menendez, A review of Mr. Wondergem's account reveals that he placed an order with our sales department for magazines on November 6th, 2007. During the verification call Mr. Wondergem clearly repeated the amount and number of each payment. Mr. Wondergem gave us his credit card and we obtained his permission to process the order. PRS in turn fulfilled his account by ordering the seven requested magazines for their full term. A review of the sales call reveals he completely understood the terms of his agreement and that he was happy with his purchase. PRS's goal is to have happy and satisfied customers. It is apparent from Ms. Whitney's complaint he is neither and therefore I have cancelled his account. The initial payment of $24.99 made by Mr. Wondergem on November 9th, 2007 has been refunded and since then he has not paid for any of the magazines he has been receiving from our company. All magazines received from PRS should be considered compliments of our company. Respectfully, Sherman Jones Customer Service Manager They are still trying to cover their butts because i never subscribed to the magazines in the first place nor would i EVER give anyone my account number over the phone. But isn't it funny how there was no possible way they could refund the money or stop the subscription until the BBB asked them to?? If you're having trouble with this company file a complaint with the BBB it was settled for me in 10 days.
