Prestige Sales, LLC Prestige is working their Book Scam in Pecan Grove outside Richmond, Texas and I was scammed by Barry Johann Phoenix Arizona
My story is not much different from most of the other victims of Prestige Sales, LLC. A "home schooled" student named "Barry Johann" came to my door asking me to help earn points so he could attend a Soccer Tournament in Europe. Lives in the neighborhood; his mom walks her two boxers on our street; yada, yada, yada.
He used the names of my neighbors (scammed a few minutes earlier) and had checks from them. I have NEVER let one of these salesmen come into my house, but this kid was so clean cut and honest looking. I bought his sales pitch hook, line, and sinker! I was so taken in that I gave him information on which neighbors I thought would help him (and they all did, later in the day). I even shared information about my 15 year old daughter and her activities. I gave him a check for $70 and requested that he send the books to Texas Children's Hospital for the sick kids to enjoy. He offered to wash my car or do other chores as a "way to give back"; something his mother encouraged him to do.
Good thing I got a little suspicious later in the day and googled Prestige Sales, LLC ..... and found this website and others like it. I stopped payment on my check, but will be looking over my shoulder for a while. We all made a police report and most of us were able to stop payment. This nice looking young man could make an excellent living working honestly...... he will be a success one day. Too bad I am not sure if he is a victim or a crook at this time. I hope he wises up.
