I was looking for a deal for a hotel in San Francisco. I went to all of the other internet sites to find the average price for 3 star hotels. I had my wife and 2 teens on this trip. We have traveled may times together and usually got one room with 2 queen beds and one roll away bed. I bid and had my offer accepted for $65 a night for 2 nights. I was shocked to learn when I went to the hotel site that parking was $32 a calander day. I called the hotel and found out that they could not accomidate 2 beds in a hotel room and their small rooms would not fit a roll away bed. The hotel did not care that I would not be able to use the accomidations and would not cancel the reservations. They told me that I would have to cancel with priceline.com. Priceline told me that I would have to deal with the hotel. I ended up renting another hotel that did have 2 beds and a roll away for about $75 a night.

I had two hotel rooms rented for 2 nights and only stayed in one.

Parking is not specificly mentioned. If priceline sells me a price, it should include all normal amenitys or inform the buyer that parking is extra... do you still want this hotel.

I feel that priceline.com is a ripoff and I will gladly join any class action suit that starts up.

By the way... your site is not secure so I did not inculde my correct address or phone number.

I have made numerous airline, hotel, and rental car reservations using Priceline including 3 in SF and have always had great success.

I have posted several times about these types of websites. Personally I booked a flight through priceline for oct 2001 after 9-11 happened i was scared to fly as this would have been my first flight ever. I called and asked to cancel or to atleast change the flight to a later date and they refused so i had to deal with a $500 loss. Same goes for hotels if they do let you cancel (which they probably wont)they charge you a cancellation fee anyway-the hotel cannot cancel it!I have posted several responses to complaints on this website on how these hotel websites work-its very interesting. Hotels usually have no control over these sites and when you book on those sites you get the opposite of what you want ie.smoking, room types etc. I always suggest booking directly at the hotel and not online or though 800 numbers-but use those websites as a guide to hotels prices etc. call the hotel directly and see if they will match the price you see or it may even be less than what you see because those sites mark up the original hotel prices. Both guests and hotels lose from these sites
