Complaint Review: Prickett Properties LLC - Orange Beach Alabama

The guest who filed this report has made false claims against our company. #1 The guest reserved the condo directly from our website and the picture of the gulf view is accurate. I personally took the picture from the patio. I have provided a direct link to where the guest readily admits he found and booked the condo. The third picture is the gulf view. This is exactly what the guest saw before he made the reservation. http://www.gotothegulfcoast.com/unit_details.cfm?UnitID=43 #2 When the guest arrived, he texted me that he wanted all of his money back because he did not like the view. I quickly responded that the view as as shown on the website and that we had no way of re-booking the condo at that point. Furthermore, he signed a reservation agreement. The reservation terms clearly state that the funds were non-refundable and that it was the guest's responsibility to ensure that they were satisfied with the location of the property PRIOR to making the reservation. The website provides an address and maps the property. We are a small company and cannot afford to give people their money back just because they are belligerent, mean and try to bully us when they don't like what they agreed too. We would have been far more accommodating to this guest had he not cussed us out (*See below) #3 The guest who made this report, called myself and my husband repeatedly and left threatening messages with words that I cannot repeat. It got to the point to where I was personally threatened and scared. I then went to the Police Department to file a restraining order. The police called the guest and he proceeded to cuss out the police man. Please note: this rebuttal should not be taken as an invitation to speak to this guest again. We are concerned for our safety and do not wish to have any further contact whether by telephone, email or regular mail. We are simply stating our case so that people such as this do not have the right to ruin our good reputation.

Reserved a nice gulf view condo for a family vacation from Prickett Properties based on website pictures and description. Prickett requested payment in full prior to arrival. After reviewing the website carefully - authorized the payment. Upon arrival, the location was not at all as described. Website pictures were taken from an undisclosed location. There is absolutely no view with exception of rooftops. Beach access was across several streets and an entire neighborhood of homes - none of which was disclosed through the website advertising. This was unacceptable for a family with three young children. We contacted the Pricketts immediately for a resolution. They did not respond. We did not enter the unit at any time. Pricketts eventually responded via email, but at no time returned phone calls, and refused to refund the fee, even though the service was never received. The advertising for the unit is completely false. I have pictures and documentation that clearly illustrate fraud. Our credit card company recommended requesting refund again through merchant, upon this request the Pricketts filed a Police complaint in order to stop all communications. It is a scam!!!!!!
