Pro Business Publications RIPOFF Tried To Meet Me In A Bar weird Edinburgh United Kingdom
My experience is a wee different from the others; the company advertises on their website that they are always on the lookout for people to write their businessCDs; as I am a highly qualified HR expert I approached them with a view to meeting up and exploring the possiblities. I received an official looking e-mail (complete with disclaimer notice) from a Brenda Perry expressing an interest from her side also.
I then got an e-mail saying they're awfully busy at the office and could she meet at a certain hotel at 5pm; at this stage my alarm bells started ringing and I rang my dad who said that she could easily spike my drink and I could find myself waking up next to some hairy l*****n. So I declined insisting on meeting at their office and got a s**+**y e-mail back from Brenda Perry saying that if I can't meet in a hotel to forget it altogether.
For all I know she's married with 6 bairns but the whole thing is bizarre; I checked out their offices, it is on the site of Noble's Pub, so there is no need to meet at a hotel a mile away; my dad checked them out and said that with a turnover of 90k over 18 months they are clowns so it is not likely they would be spending money on researchers.
Anyway, don't want to defame the lady I am sure she has a boyfriend the truth is probably that there is no one in the office apart from her and that she is ashamed of that or perhaps that she has a job somewhere and only keeps it running on paper.

I came across this story on a blog and as one of my cousins was almost raped by a group of thugs which included one women, thought I add the proverbial. Carlton is too nice putting it down to the lady being ashamed by her office. The question is what is the motive of Brenda Perry, if that is her real name, soliciting interviews when she cannot pay them; also even if she has a budget what is the minger doing arranging meetings at hotels and not at her office; this stinks. Joanne you say the office is on the site of Noble's pub, I have been to Noble's (lots of bands play there) there are no offices there just a function room. On the other hand, it could all be complete innocent and we'll see the "entreprenur" on Dragon's Den pitching for some money.

Hey Joanne, read your article, I understand your concerns with you being a lady, and probably a good looking one, but I don't think you would have been violated; if you look at the pattern of complaints you'll see that the lady stopped her business over a year ago. You see, it doesn't cost anything to keep a website live or even keep a business phone line at your house; I bet if you phone the number it's never answered, becuase she is working somewhere. An old schoolfriend of mine started a business here in Atlanta selling anti-theft software for PCs; he told everyone how he was going to make millions of dollars iwht htis software which sold at $19.99 and that "Microsoft was sniffing around"; well it never took off and he did'nt sell any software only to his family and friends and got a job at the stadium to pay his rent. So I had heard but didn't want to degrade him so I asked him how business was and he said it was great and I should look at his website; so I said I thought he was working at the stadium and he went red and said he just worked there to help out a friend. All I'm saying is most people don't have the education or the entrepreneurial skills or the moeny to succeed in business and when they fail it is a hard pill to swallow. So they keep a website alive or an e-mail address so they don't have to admit it to anyone that god has created them workers and not leaders.
