I first tried making money with Project Payday in August, 2012. I was working at home for a huge company (yes, you would recognize it), but this was slow season, and I figured if I was going to be tethered to my computer for eight hours anyway, I might as well make it VERY profitable. However, I was never able to get past the first thing they want you to do, and then we got busy again in September, and I forgot all about it.
Fast-forward to one year and two months later. I lost that great job (after eight years), and saw Project Payday again, and I could join for free, and I thought this was going to be a wonderful experience. This is what actually happened:
1. I was never able to complete the First Fast 50, because the system would not go to the next page. I sent several emails to the email name and address provided...you know, the one who guaranteed the payment and all this help...and none were ever responded to.
2. There was suddenly a payment to GEICO for $98.67 out of my checking account. Since I don't have GEICO and GEICO themselves seemed rather uncooperative about returning my money, I filed a police report and took it to my bank. I had my money back within several hours.
3. I received an email that sure LOOKS like it came from PayPal telling me they wanted me to click on a link and give them "more information about your account" due to some "unusual activity." Since it has been months since I used my PayPal account for anything, I called them. Guess what? PayPal never sent me the email.
4. I began getting phone calls from Penn Credit from phone number 1-800-900-1380. I have never heard of Penn Credit and have not applied for credit lately. They refuse to give me any information about why they are calling me unless I confirm certain information for them. Guess what? I'm not giving them a thing.
5. Last night, while I was preparing dinner, a call came in. I figured I'd let the answering machine take it and call them back later. However, no message was left. Out of curiosity, I decided to use the *69 method. To my great surprise, my last caller was not in the United States; the access code began with 011. I am 64 and have owned a phone for a long time, but this is the first time someone from out of the country called me.
Yes, it's highly possible all this is coincidence. But it happened over a two-week period, and only after I hooked up with Project Payday. Form your own conclusions.
