Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

These people CLAIM to be selling items as police auctions. This is a lie designed to make you feel comfortable in making purchases from the company.

I had an account and I bought over $8,000 in auction coins and paid for them with my credit card. funny. I woke up  one morning and my account was gone!! No login, no accoint recognized with my email address (but I was able to open a new one with the SAME info). All they had done was close my account and to steal all the money I had paid.

This is going to a credit card dispute. I will show that they are a fraud and they stole my money.

BEWARE. These people have no phone number, no physical address and no person responsible. They simply steal your funds and ignore you.

Update to these rip off people and their website at propertyroom.com

This company runs a website called Property Room at propertyroom.com that purports to be an auction of merchandise confiscated by police departments with the inferred implication that the proceeds benefit the police departments.

A cursory check of this companies antics include being incorporated in California, then dropped as a corporation for failure to file annual reports then resurrected in Maryland with a Delaware Charter by a character signing as Terry Russell.

Further checking reveals that this site is a scam and a fraud. They do not auction items from police auctions and their proceeds do not benefit the police departments donating tthe goods.

I had the unhappy occasion to sign up for this scam site since I buy over $100,000 worth of auction items each year for my eBay store. They appeared to have a good selection of items for auction so I started bidding.

Shortly after beginning to frequent this site I had occasion to dispute a charge they had made to my credit card. Simple. Just a dispute since I did not recognize it.

They immediately cancelled my access and locked my account. I tried again, being somewhat bewildered. I mean, I've had charge disputes before as a company and we always initiated contact with the other party to remedy whatever the situation might be. Not these people.

Being a scam and a fraud they are only in it for the money. The fact that I had disputed a charge was a horrible crime to these people.

So, I waited a year and tried again. Sure enough, I got an email from Melanie Webster from their "Fraud Department" and was advised that my account was closed even though I had won an auction.

I called the number provided to me by the "Fraud Department" and got one of those 'pay as you go' phone answering services where you can only leave a message, which I did. As you would expect from a scam and fraud company they never responded.

My reason for this report is simple; avoid this site and this company. They are a fraud and a scam and they will either rip you off or if you dispute something they will close your account and refuse to respond to you.

As an aside, these people use multiple addresses and hide behind emails. Nowhere on their site is there any contact information other than an email form.

Contact me and I can supply you with further information as we investigate these people and you can also see my BBB complaint.
