Protection Plus AKA Complete Automotive Repair Services (C.A.R.S.) Ripoff; used parts, won't cover all fluids Murrysville Pennsylvania
This company will not cover what they state in their policy.
They will not put in new parts. Will try to use used parts. They would not pay for all of the fluids needed (trans.) They would not pay to evacuate the A/C system even though it is required by law that it is done. They would not pay for the orifice (filter) in the A/C system, (A/C might last a month without it) but requires the repair center to warranty the compressor for 12 months or they won't pay.
They won't pay for the transmission filter when the transmission is overhauled. They will only pay what they say is their cost for used components that they have in their warehouse. The customer has to pay the difference.
The labor rate based on the current Mitchell's labor guide is their own version and if the repair shop says it doesn't match their current Mitchell's then C.A.R.S. says that their book is correct and Mitchell's labor that shows up in the repair shop's book has been padded by Mitchell so that Mitchell can make more money!
