You might try this legal group: Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. They have offices everywhere, the one I sent a case to, not Pulte homes, was in Washington D.C. You can do a search on the internet to see if they have an office near your home. They take cases that most attorneys just can't take or won't take. They are here for the consumer!

This seems to be fairly common, to have a lawyer or other professional do further harm on top of what the builder did. Bar associations are just another fox guarding the henhouse. Since there is so little money in it for lawyers to take these cases, in which the state laws may not allow recovery of more than actual damges, homeowners are left with the worst lawyers to choose from. The builders have already used the good ones so if you go to them, it's a conflict of interest. Two sites dealing in lack of accountability in the legal profession are halt.org and clr.org Another area of potential harm to people in construction defect cases is the fields of mold testing and remediation, and people who claim to investigate your case and find facts to help you win. One such company exhibited less ability to do research than I had already done on my own, and upon investigation of their company, I learned they were in fact, home builders themselves.

Do your self a favor and stay a way from Stoops, Denious, and Wilson. These two individuals, Thomas Stoops and Stephanie Wilson, sold us down the river in a case against Pulte Homes. They took $45,000 from us and then dropped of the case laeving us with no legal protection. Another lawyer was brought in from out of state to finish the case with no fees up front. But by this time the people on this lawsuit were so beaten down that they settled with Pulte for very little money. We filed complaints against these lwayers with the Arizona bar. Even though we had audio and written evidence, the Az Bar refused to do any thing.

Lawyers have been a waste of time in our case against another builder, in another state, too. Buying off lawyers is something I am sure does go on, and if anyone could prove it they might have something. Arbitration is an abomination...it is not fair or cheap, and we are supposed to be guaranteed the right to a trial in this country. The builders lobbyists are rewriting the laws. I suggest that you check out www.hadd.com and click on state chapters...there is a chapter in AZ. Good luck, I hope you find resolution. I used to live in AZ and it's apalling what the builders are doing now that they were not getting away with so easily when I lived there, but it was starting then, and we avoided Shea Homes because people were putting up signs.

Our "lawyer" Thomas Stoops, just decided to drop off our case against Pulte Homes after taking $45,000 of our money. The "arbitrator" allowed him to do this with no questions asked! Paid off by Pulte no doubt!!!!!
