In 2007 I went a a search for the perfect puppy for me. I came across to this place, puppiesforsalebythenet.com/ wizard of claws/ "where the celebrities buy their puppies. Well i saw this one puppy a "teacup" maltese. Her price was way out of my league, $5000.00 but I fell in love with her. Since i couldnt afford it, my boyfriend bought her for me. When We received the statement for his American Express, the company charged him $8,000.00 and couldnt explain as to way it was charged that much, and we didnt get a refund.

After 3 months and doing research my puppy weighed 6 1/2 pounds! Far from a teacup weight! And i realized that she had a limp to her walk; she came home with this limp. I was concerned especially since the company told me not to sorry about it because she will outgrow it. I called the company still complaining about the refund, the limp, and the weight. A teacup should be no more than 3 pounds.

They admitted that they will not refund the money, the limp is out of their hands and they "thought' she will out grow it and that i can exchange the dog for another. After having my puppy for about 4 months i couldn't exchange her! I loved her! So i sucked it up. Its sad how they can easily say to exchange as if the puppies were a pair of shoes or something.

We are now in 2009, my puppy's leg is so bad, she is getting surgery (she will no longer have use to her leg). She weighs 7 pounds, a full grown $8000.00 maltese. And never a refund!

They lie on their prices, their size, they trap with you the credit cards, and they neglect and abuse their puppies which you later have to pay for, emotionally and physically!

Please do your research, and do not buy from this seller! they are horrible and do not care for the puppies.

What you can do and should do!

It is well known that WOC are big scammers and are a puppymill. What happened to you was fraud and theft. You can and should press charges on the owner for stealing your money and misrepresenting the puppy (which will be considered a product). Make sure you have all of your emails and paperwork present and you will be able to get ALL of your money back as well as keep the puppy. Go to court and show (with bank statements) that they took more then what they stated in emails and their site. You will automatically get that back. Then show that the puppy was misrepresented and that she came with a heredity condition that wasn't told about before you purchased the puppy. That is fraud. They sold a basically sick puppy and didn't tell you about it which in turn you accumulated higher vet bills. You can actually sue for the vet bills, also! Sue for all that you can and you will get the maximium that you can in small claims court. The problem with Wizard of Claws (WOC) is that no one does anything about getting scammed. They complain but never go though with their actions. Simply sue and you will get what is owed! When speaking with them, they will take you in circles and deny everything. that is why you should speak mainly through emails or if calling, record the conversation. All of this is important proof. Good Luck!
