The day before Thanksgiving I went in to Puppy Depot after reading their add in the paper about the dogs on sale for $99-$495. When walking into the store I notice how it hinted a smell of mildew and was really dusty but i ignored it cause the puppies were too cute. I asked about the dogs that were on sale and when they brought out this adorable jack russel terrier i fell in love with it. So I was told that I would have to put down a $100 deposit and they would bring the dog to a vet they are associated with.

I came back to pick him up and was so excited because this was going to be a christmas present for my boyfriend. We were given 2 bottles of pills and when i asked what those were for we were told to prevent any intestinal parasites from ever forming not that the dog has them. We signed our papers and left. When we got him home we notice he was sniffling and coughing so when we brought him to the vet recommended by the store for the free visit we were giving medication to treat the kennel cough he had.

After about a week he seemed to be fine except the fact that he was older than we were told, so we continued to bring him to a vet near us for his routine vaccinations. Every check up he had he was in perfect condition. Up until 1/3/05 he seemed fine. After his leptosporosis shot he started to become sluggish, not moving around not eating much so we figured that like humans after they get shots he was gonna need a day to recover. Well three days later no progress. We noticed a black and blue on his belly and we called the vet right away, she said to make an appointment and come in that day. An hour later the black and blue became raised and was getting bigger. We then noticed his breathing was becoming more shallow. The vet told us to get him in right away.

We couldnt move any quicker, five minutes after that he was dead. The vet said it was probably from a hemmorage because blood came out from his butt as he died. Our little puppy who we just started to train and love was gone. We are still so upset over this and when we called the store to notify them all we get is the run around. You have to call back and talk to this manager, no sympathy or appologies just them worrying about their rap.

I plan to do somethign about this, get news 12 involved if i have to, TO read these reports and the reports on Better Business Bureua website makes me sick. I now hear that there is a law suit against them but i want more. I want them shut down!

To those who have the same experience i do i feel for you and i hope NO ONE EVERY BUYS A DOG FROM PUPPY DEPOT AGAIN!!!

Went to the Humane Society of San Antonio yesterday. They had hundreds of dogs and cats for adoption. I think the highest price is $80. Why anyone would pay up to $500 is beyond me.

I just wanted to say that after talking to the supervisor Chris from Puppy Depot he spoke to his boss and they decided to refund the $300.00 that we paid for our dog. It wasnt our dog but at least we were able to get something. The store did the right thing. Thank you.
