QCHomeShow ripoff Threat of Litigation, unauthorized copyrighting of material, misrepresentation of sale East Moline Illinois
QChomeshow.com is a website that sell advertising of homes to sellers of real estate including FSBO clients.
QChomeshow sent my family a postcard that promised to advertise our home two months for the price of one to switch form qcfsbo.com (the qcfsbo.com is a much more legitamate vendor based on our experience).
QC homeshow came to our house and collected a check. No contract was signed and there were no disclosures or references to terms and conditions.
QC homeshow then copyrighted photos of our house without our permission. Then, when we used these photos to advertise our house at another location, they attemted to enforce the copyright and have threatened to sue. After receiving an e-mail threat to sue, my wife reviewed the facts and they did not tell us verbally, or provide written documentation that they could or would copyright the images of our house.
Not only did the copyright without written agreemen or verbal notification, they are threatening to sue over this issue. SInce they are a business with much more revenue, they are in effect threatening a frivilous lawsuit that they can not win, but since its their business and our personal time, these threats of frivilous lawsuits by business's tend to result in capitulation by those whom are threatened.
Two much more legitamate business in this field in the Quad City area are byownerbyrealtor.com and qcfsbo.com, both of whom we have had no comparable issues with.
