I recieved a phone call from Questsavers and was muscled to purchase something, i explained i did not want anything, i was then asked for my credit card, i told Questsavers that i did not want to use my card.

when i got my credit card statement, "supprise", there was Questsavers with a deduction of $8.95, no merchandise, just a charge.

i have called Questsavers 4 times to get the charge off my card and to no satisfaction. i have just called Questsavers a 5th timeon July 1, 2003 and got a message saying they were closed for the 4th of July.

I have worked at AEGON since June of 03. When you call the number thats beside the 8.95 charge on your statement you end up talking to me. yes i admit that quest can be pretty misleading i dont know to much about the sign up process of quest savers but what ive noticed, is when somebody orders stuff online, or over the phone that people get this quest. After that, Quest sends out a package that explains the benefits and everything about the program. But that is the only thing we send out unless the customer calls and asks for another package. And then you start to get billed 8.95 a month. Each month they bill we do provide phone number on statement though. so another words if you dont look at your monthly billing statement you know nothing about it. I see this happen 50 times a day. and there is like 60 reps taking calls. Im told if someone calls me wanting there money back to start off by trying just three months if there are still not happy try six months. but if thats not good enough i have to ask the supervisor. usually if you raise enough hell we will give a whole year credit back though. We have several companies that do solicit our information for us like bargain network, smoke away, wellquest int., convergys, chase manhatten bank, and several telemarketing companies. the two that i see the most trouble with is bargain network and smoke away. People tell me that you cant even order something from them with out starting the thirty day trial period with quest savers. And alot of times people dont remember even talking about. but somehow they get away with it, and continue to sign up alot of people. This is a very bad way of doing business and the best way to prevent it is not to call those companies, hang up on telemarketers, and watch your billing statement. today for instance a 89 year old lady called me she received a telemarketer call, she remembers telling the person no and hanging up she never recieved nothing in mail and got our phone number from her billing statement. My job is to try to talk her into to keeping this. (HAH HAH) What are you supposed to say to a 89 year old lady that has a travel membership. Ive also seen 12 year old kid signed up because he ordered a cd off an infomercial with his mothers credit card. quest savers is not only one i deal with though there is also Leisure plus, back porch, experts on call, and plan plus. all these start out as a 30,60,and 90 day trial periods and then start charging monthly. so check your billing statements see if you see these names if so call and cancel and demand your money back. they also reimburse overdraft fees too.
