We started with quicken loans may 16, 2016. They preapproved us a loan for $120 K, then upped it a few weeks later to $143 K. Found a house, bid accepted... no problem from quicken. continued sending info as they requested. Led us to believe there was no problem. When I called and  told Brittany (our agent) that their continual hard pull credit score requests were lowering my husbands credit score, she said it wouldn't be a problem that they would use the FIRST score that they pulled. More info sent, then they requested a "gift letter" for more money from a relative. Then told us to pay off all credit cards. Did that too. Then problems started. They switched me to Brittany's supervisor who said he should have been paying more attention to HER accounts that she was new. He said he'd try and fix the problem because NOW, my husbands credit score was TOO LOW... he couldln't fix it so they transfered the account to "Eric". He said he would try and fix the problem. Several days later, he said they couldn't approve the loan because of the credit score. I asked what about the $400 we paid for the apppraisal on the house? He said they would reimburse us that money. (plus we'd already paid close to $800.00 on inspections for the house AND sent $1,000.00 to a title company!) Eric was still going to try and fix the loan.  Then they transfered the loan to ANOTHER agent Max. FINALLY, 11 DAYS BEFORE closing, we sit packed, and NO HOUSE. Max sent me a reply to my request as to what was going on, and he said the loan was DENIED. Would he have told me that if I hadn't sent him a message reminding him that we closed in 12 days? Probably not... That it may take another 30-45 days for the credit score to come up the 4 points, but that couldn't guarentee the loan would be approved... in other words... DELAY...  NO! I'M DONE! The sellers of the house have already bought another home. We can't DELAY our closing another month to month and 1/2! Gee... all was good until they damaged the credit score! DON'T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! After talking to other real estate people and others, come to find out, THERE IS A LOT of other people Quicken has done this same thing to! Go check out other complaints on Consumer Affairs, and others... PAGES OF complaints!!! They "claim" they will be refunding our $400 for the appraisal, but I'm not holding my breath... Their ads are LIES...
