I have been trying to get a rebate from Directv. I bundled with them under the advise of Qwest comuniactions. I was told from Directv that I would recieve a $100.00 rebate for signing up for the DVR. I applied for this rebate online and when I called to check I was told everything was in order and my rebate would shortly be on the way. I waited. No rebate. I called again and was told it was in the mail.

A month later I called again. I was told again it was in the mail. I called yet again and was told I didn't fill out the rebate form. I said I did. They said they would look further. I called again, and again was told it was in the mail. I called Qwest. They called Directv while I was on the phone. The Directv person told Qwest the check was being re-written and it would be there in a month. (What planet do the work on where it would take a month to get a check?) One month went by, no check. Two weeks went by, no check.

I called Qwest and was on hold, waiting for Directv to get a supervisor to deal with the problem. My ear was swelling up for having been on the phone that long. Qwest had me on hold while I waited for Directv supervisor (Qwest's advertisement on the phone said to Bundle with Directv, it was a great deal) The Qwest customer service rep kept coming on and telling me how awful this was. She even had her supervisor trying to get someone from Directv to help with this. I ended the call. My ear hurt and there was no sign of anyone coming soon.

I called back today: 12/28/07, six months (and 8.5 hours on the phone) after they told me the first time that the check was in the mail. I still don't have a rebate. I called directv, they told me if I wanted out of my contract with them, that Qwest got me into, then I would have to pay $350.00. Talk about being ripped off. I looked Directv up on the BBB. They have a 'D'. If you really look at the complaints they should have a 'F,' they don't even deserve an 'F', they deserve a zero.

Qwest should be ashamed to have hooked thier customers up with this company. I know they have lost me as a customer as soon as I my contract is up, and earlier if I can get out of the contract.

I would like to no longer be a customer of Qwest or Directv. They are both Zero companies in my opinion.
