Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We purchased a boxer puppy from RagTyme Boxers and our boxer ended up with Crytochordism which is a genetic defect. Once Natasha Hall was notified she agreed to pay for the neutering of our dog because this condition can be passed on to their offspring and can become cancerous for the dog later in life. Once she was sent the bill for the procedure she avoided all phone calls and moved out of state. Although we love our pet it was the first and last time we will ever purchase a dog from a breeder. We ended up spending twice the amount of our original purchase for the dog in the constant vet trips that we made from day one with skin problems, coughing and his genetic defect. They are nothing but Backyard Breeders and you would do yourself a world of good to just find a rescue and adopt a boxer instead of paying a lot of money for a sick puppy.

We received the reimbursement check payment in full a few days ago. Thank you and I am truly sorry it came down to this. At the time we did feel like we were getting the run around since it has happened to us before with other businesses in the past. I really appreciate you sending this to us and are very sorry you suffered dire financial circumstances. I hope your business is prospering through this rough economy. Our boxer is a fantastic dog. He's astonishingly beautiful turning many heads and receives many complements. I consider this report closed and the matter has been resolved to both parties satisfaction. Sincerely, Christy

Where is the slander case here? If you are going to accuse me of slander, then you need to look up the definition of Slander. Do you mean "Libel?" You also have no case for Libel as I am stating facts relevant to my case, not bold face lies to defame anyones character. QUOTE "In my opinion you are slandering Natasha without just cause and if I were her I would sue you for slander"...Debbie from Cal QUOTE "I really have a hard time beleiving even for a second that Natasha didn't or wouldn't do right by you" It doesn't matter what you believe or what your "opinion" is. It is not relevant to my situation. I'm glad you have a healthy dog and love her dearly.....SO DO WE. We love our dog very much, why would we give him back after getting attached to him (especially our daughter)? QUOTE "I know from experience that Natasha does not do contracts but will make good on her Guarantee/Warrantee as she has offered to do so with my girl on several occassions when it wasn't even a thought in my mind to give my girl back or replace her." How would we get a full refund for him if RagTyme Boxers cannot even pay for the neutering? I was PROMISED a refund for the cost of neutering my dog once his condition was diagnosed. Essentially, I was sold a defective product (I know it sounds cold, because we love our dog very much), however, this was a business deal, plain and simple. We received a defective product, then we were told there would be some compensation. This did not happen and then we were lied to. QUOTE "unfortunately, I did not put anything in writing so all agreements were verbal"...Natasha This is an acknowledgment of our deal whether it is in writing or not. I am terribly sorry for your financial troubles you are going through right now, I really am. That is all you had to say instead of giving me the run around. The truth (even generic w/out any detail) would have saved us all of this. In conclusion; First, there was a physical defect w/ our puppy. The seller did not fulfill their end of the bargain as promised (which would have been entirely OK if we had not been avoided and lied to, we would have understood and waited or even waived the refund). Secondly, Our puppy may have a genetic defect (and does in fact have a congenital defect) and this warranted compensation to us. I reported this to let other people know that I was sold a defective product; payed full price for it; and was then given the run around on any kind of compensation for the defect.

I purchased a puppy that was whelped 12/14/06 from Natasha and I couldn't be more pleased with my little girl. While I don't have a male from Natasha, I do know about this situation and I know that the Sire of this litter has produced 20 males in 2 litters and your dog is the only one that only dropped 1 t******e out of the 20. I don't think it was due to a genetic issue. I know from experience that Natasha does not do contracts but will make good on her Guarantee/Warrantee as she has offered to do so with my girl on several occassions when it wasn't even a thought in my mind to give my girl back or replace her. People picked on me and teased me because my girl has two light haws, which is the inner eye lid that in boxers is preferred to be dark. I was upset about the teasing it so Natahsa offered to replace my Crystal or refund my money if I returned her. That wasn't even something that would be considered in her Guarantee/Warrantee but she was willing to do it to make me happy. It was not and will not ever be an option for me. There were other things like that, that Natasha offered the same thing over but I said no and those things were covered in her Guarantee/Warrantee either but Natasha was only worried about making me happy. I have been nothing but HAPPY with my Crystal and Natasha has been nothing but AWESOME with me. My girl is healthy as can be and I can prove that through many health tests I have had done on her due to showing with possibly breeding in the future. My girl is Int/Nat Puppy Ch, UKC GrCh Ragtyme's Crystal Clear Vendetta. I wouldn't trade her for the world. You can see her health test results to date by checking my website at www.vendettaboxers.com. She has never been sick, never had skin issues, she is the sweetest most loving girl I have ever met, she is beautiful, happy, healthy and I love her to pieces. I really have a hard time beleiving even for a second that Natasha didn't or wouldn't do right by you. I know when you 1st got your puppy (he is one that I thought about adding to my family) that you told Natasha that one of his testicles didn't drop. I know this because Natasha told me about it. She told me that she offered to replace the puppy, she told me she offered to pay the $50.00 towards the nueter if you wanted to keep the puppy. That was back when you first got this puppy. In my opinion you are slandering Natasha without just cause and if I were her I would sue you for slander.

RagTyme Boxers - UPDATE

In response to the rebuttal.....Every single piece of information on Cryptochordism that I have read and or asked PROFESSIONAL individuals have stated that, the most likely causes of this defect are a genetic defect and that animals with or those whom produce pups with this condition should not breed. As for my NOT understanding your personal circumstances....well maybe you SHOULD NOT have told me that you would take care of the neutering and then proceeded to tell me that you mailed the amount for the procedure and then go on to say that you mailed it to the wrong address. In reference to the replacement of a new puppy.....did you ever stop and think that a new puppy cost quite a bit more than a neutering fee for a dog with cryptochordism?? Besides my family and I became attached to our dog after months of hoping that he would not be afflicted with cryptochordism. Simply sending our dog back was not an option. I DO UNDERSTAND that you stop taking my phone calls and did not attempt to contact me......you simply disregarded me and my family and left us paying for a procedure that we did not want but were forced to do. Also you should read your health warranty that you signed, it covers congenital and genetic defects. Congenital defect is " A birth defect" and I went to 2 different veterinarians within 2 weeks that made the same diagnosis. I also hate that I had to go to this extreme but I feel that it was necessary to let others know what they may encounter with your breedings.

First I will comment on the issues presented by Christy

Crytochordism is NOT 100% genetic... It can be genetic but either way its not life threatening if the t******e is found and removed. The retain t******e can CAN become cancerous only if not removed, but really what doesn't cause cancer these days. 1 out of say 15 males produced from the same sire is not an indication of a genetic issue here.

Skin problems can be brought on by many things such as but not limited to, Environment, Diet, and or the chemicals we force our pets to ingest between vaccinations, flea/tick, and or heartworm preventatives. If we are talking something else please feel free to contact me on this. Boxer's are a very sensitive breed this means you must be careful what you bathe them with, Feed, what chemicals you use in your home, and what is used to wash their bedding. If we are talking a rash from ear taping then its normal for irritation to occur.

Coughing is so vague of an explanation, really should be more specific. For example: Kennel Cough, there are not only so many different strands of this disease but it can be picked up anywhere, a cold in essence. Not usually a need for antibiotics or really even a trip to the vet.

I have been in boxers for over 5 years. I purchased a great male puppy from RagTyme Boxers (Natasha Hall) UKC Ch. RagTyme Bratcher's Box Office Hit "Gunnar" about 2 yrs ago talked with her often for at least 1yr before purchasing (definitely not spur of the moment or and impulse buy, which it never should be). She has been nothing but supportive and helpful when ever I needed a question answered or to help solve a problem. I have also been in contact with a couple of her present puppy owners and really we are and have been very satisfied. She is very open minded and wise about our breed.

This is to all that has or is looking for a pet
It is your responsibility as the buyer to pay to have the animal neutered and pay all vet fees. Nothing is ever a guaranty and things come up just like if it was your child. Dont expect to buy a pet and never have to take it to the vet, groomer, walk it daily, train him/her, play with him/her. So many people buy an animal thinking that they "dont get sick, they can eat all the garbage kibbles that are on sale that week, and dont expect a boxer (of all breeds) to not need exercise, training or socialization, they are not born trained and they certainly need our help to be and stay healthy by research and education. When you bring a pet into your home for the life of that pet it is YOUR responsibility to take care of their needs no matter what it is, you agreed when taking the pet into your life and home.

Before buying a pet please do research on the breed, the breeder or the rescue. I 100% support rescue so please also look into your local rescue before purchasing from a breeder, save a life. But don't forget that issues can also occur in a rescue considering you may not know the background health wise or temperament wise.

The condition suffered by this dog MAY be genetic however it is not always, seeing as he is the only puppy out of the 20 males I have produced to have the condition it is not likely genetic. The original aggreement had been either a new puppy of their choice or I would pay $50 towards his neuter, unfortunately, I did not put anything in writing so all agreements were verbal.

Yes, I moved out of state however, it was because of personal circumstances beyond my control not because I was "running".

As for not paying this person, I have tried to explain that at this moment I am suffering from extreme financial difficulties because of my unexpected sudden move. I am barely keeping food on the table at the moment.

The cost of the neuter will be paid by me just as soon as humanly possible, unfortunately, I can not possibly give what I do not currently have. I will update as soon as I am able to recitify this situation.

I am sorry that this has come to this, however, I never anticipated being in the personal and financial situation I am now in and I am sorry that others do not/will not understand.
