Yup, do your homework before purchasing any breed. This breed, and alot of others with the word terrier in their name can be very difficult to handle if you don't have the proper knowledge to do so. They can sometimes be very aggressive, and can be very high energy, and no proper outlet for that energy seems to highten that aggression. It is also believed that they can suffer from a condition called rage syndrome. Other breeds that are thought to suffer from this: Cockers, springers, doby's, goldens, german shepherds, and on and on. Some simple research may have cleared up some of these problems, and probably resulted in you knowing early on that this probably wasn't the breed for you, and in fact, is not the breed for alot of people. We need to make ourselves aware of the typical health problems, temperment, characteristics, best training and handling methods, and best enviroment, as well and in addition to the look of the breed we are purchasing. Also, 6 weeks? *just my opinion*

YOU KNEW YOU HAVE GRANDCHILDREN WHICH MEANS YOU SHOULD HAVE SELECTED A BREED MORE COMPATIBLE WITH CHILDREN, BUT IF YOUR GRANDCHILDREN TAUNT4ED, TEASED AND PHYSICALLY ABUSED THE DOG, IT WILL ATTACK JUST LIKE A HUMAN WOULD IF THEY DID THE SAME TO THEM. THIS IS NOT A BREED FOR CHILDREN. IF YOUR GRANDCHILDREN DO NOT KNOW THE PROPER WAY TO TREAT A DOG, YOU DO NOT NEED A DOG PERIOD! BUT FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT, LET US ASSUME YOUR GRANDCHILDREN ARE ANGELIC, PERFECT BEINGS WHO WOULD NEVER TEASE, KICK OR ABUSE A DOG. THE BEST BREEDS FOR CHILDREN AND THERE ARE NOT MANY ARE LABRADORS, GERMAN SHEPHERDS, BORDER COLLIES AND BOXERS. BUT DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DOGS EVERYWHERE A SIMILAR FAVOR AND DO NOT GETS ANOTHER DOG IF YOU CANNOT GIVE THEM THE TRAINING, PROTECTION FROM CHILDREN AND THE PRIORITY THEY DESERVE IN YOUR LIFE! DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU BUY ANOTHER ONE --BUT MY ADVICE TO YOU IS DON'T.

99% of the time its the owners fault that the dogs are agressive. you probably could have done a little more work training your dog not to be agressive than to put it down before it was 6 months old. you may have got ripped off on the price or the condition of you pup, but it wasnt born agressive, im sure you the owners didnt help the cause, you blame it on the breeder? she didnt raise them, you did and clearly not a good job.shame on you for not trying harder to fix the problem, instead take the easy way out a kill the dog.take some responsibility

Marie, I'm so sad to hear that years after my story was originally posted on Rip Off Report Heather Collins is still ripping people off of thousands of dollars for her assembly-line-bred puppies. I'll forever be scarred by this experience. I still think about my puppy that had to be put down at 6 months old. Throughout the years I've often thought that things might've been different had I gotten a female, but judging from your experience probably not. I haven't been turned off the breed - a part of me still wants to own a bull terrier one day. I have two (small breed) dogs now and finally see what it's like to get that unconditional love. It's just not normal for a PUPPY to instinctively want to attack the person giving it love, shelter and food unless there's something seriously wrong with that dog. I'm sorry that we both had to live through that. Heather Collins, if you're reading these words, you're a greedy degenerate. I hope your dogs turn on you one day and you suffer the pains of your own causing. I take comfort in knowing that if it's not you who'll be punished for your sins it'll be your children. It's called Karma, baby, and what goes around comes around.
