Mr. Mike Ross, Mr. Gilbert Blevins (R&B Homebuilders)and I appeared before a Small Claims Judge and reached a settlement regarding this matter. As the plaintiff in this matter, I agreed to update this report with details of the settlement. In turn, Mr. Ross and Mr. Blevins (R&B Homebuilders) have agreed to certain terms of the settlement that I will also disclose in this rebuttal report. When I submitted my intial report, I did so out of anger and frustration. I immediately contacted the administrator's of Rip Off Report and requested that my report be retracted. I was notified that this was not possible and that I may resubmit a rebuttal to try and clean things up. I submitted a rebuttal in an attempt to clean up words I used in anger such as extortionists or blackmailers. R&B Homebuilders has agreed to a monetary settlement and has also agreed to refrain from pursuing any litigation against me regarding any of the reports I have made at the Rip Off Report Website including Libal or Slander. R&B Homebuilders has agreed to provide me in writing within 30 days a signed letter to this effect. R&B Homebuilders and I adjourned from the Small Claims Court on good terms. I shook hands with Mr. Ross and Mr. Blevins. Both gentleman inquired if there were any problems with my new home and I informed them that to date there was none with the exception that some minor work has yet to be completed. I was assured that the work will be completed in a timely manner. I have always been satisfied with the quality and construction of my home with no complaints. I am satisfied with the outcome and I have no hard feelings towards either individuals who represent R&B Homebuilders.

Using the words extortionist's and blackmailers is an incorrect use of words on my part. There was no intention to libel or slander Gilbert Blevins or Mike Ross of R&B Homebuilders. The circumstances of this report are clear, I believa a breach of contract occurred as the price of my home was increased by $10,000 the day before escrow closed. Propspective homebuyers should not have to endure what my wife and I have. Greed is simply the root of all evil. Two things in life you should be true to, your word and your reputation.
