Realnetworks Accounts - "Real(tm)" - Raspsody Offered 30 day free trial. No online way to cancel subscription after 30 period. Forced to call 1-866-212-1343. Used 25 minutes of my cell minutes on hold. Internet
A ad banner for 10-day and 30-days FREE access to REAL(tm) Raspody music, games, and videos came up upon login. You are required to enter your credit information but have to cancel one within 10 days and the other within the 30 day period.
If you don't cancel withing this timeframe, you are automatically charged on your credit card $14.99 times 3 per month.
The problem is that these is no easy click to cancel subscription after the 30 days. I went online to cancel and read "Call this number to cancel subscription." It was easy to sign up online so why do you have to call a number to sign up.
After using 25 of my daytime cell phone minutes, I was connected to a rep who tried to sell me on the service. He told me that he would wave this month's fee if I tried it another month to see if I liked it. That would mean (1) I would have to remember in a month to call again to cancel, (2) would have to be on hold for another half-hour, or (3) continue to be billed for the service because they didn't want to cancel it there.
I insisted that they cancel it for all three at that moment.
What a scam....
