Rebecca Bice Beware- PUPPY MILL Forney Texas
I spent over $2000.00 on a teacup maltipoo from this "hobby breeder" in 2004. I am just now able to report what occurred. My baby arrived via airline. She was removed from a cage of greasy dirty rags with diarrhea all over her bottom on Dec 23rd. I called Becky right away to let her know and was told this is normal from the stress of travel. I took her to the vet and found she had coccidia for which I immediately began treatment. She was not eating or drinking on her own and I fed her with a syringe. The Vet told me she was 5 1/2 or 6 weeks old, not the 12week age claimed by Becky. Over the next 2 days Becky was not returning my calls and my puppy was deteriorating. I took her to Emergency Vet services and they kept her with IV fluids but she died early that next morning. When I tried to report this to Becky she would not take responsibility for sending me a sick puppy. Fortunately I had purchased with my Discover Card and they agreed that I had done everything in my power to help this puppy and fulfilled my end of the contract, they reimbursed me the purchase price but not the $800.00 in Vet bills. Then I heard from Becky -"How could you do this to me?" "This is my livelihood, this is how I feed y kids, I was going to replace your puppy, etc". This was a very heartwrenching experience that I will never forget. I had spoken with Becky multiple times prior to picking this puppy and she knew how much it meant to me to have a little puppy, she was all sweetness and kindness, always available prior to the purchase but completely flipped and MIA after. If you are a Celebrity it is probably safe to buy a pet from her, but if you are a regular person like me, its a gamble. I have come to believe that she is running an elaborate puppy mill. I filed a complaint with the BBB and found she had prior complaints at that time. I can't believe she is still in business and her business is still growing. Please don't buy from her.
