After hearing such great things about this company that manufactures edged weapons, tactical gear and the like, plus watching their product demos online, I decided I would purchase their new RS6 Karambit for a friend of mine who is serving our country as an Army Ranger as a Christmas gift. I placed my order online (since this is the only way they take orders) on 11/15/2011 and paid $98.45 including the S&H through Paypal. To date I have attempted EIGHT times to contact anyone through Red Scorpion to find out where my package is. The first several attempts were made via the provided telephone number off their website. The only thing I got was the voicemail saying they were unable to answer but to leave a detailed message and someone would get back to me. Since this was the week of Thanksgiving when I tried to call I gave them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps everyone was off for the week to spend it with family. I left two detailed messages the first week and two the next. When I finally had access again to the internet I then emailed them providing them with any and all details including order and transaction reference numbers, dates, amounts and all my contact info. Although it clearly states on their website that they will try to respond in 24 hours, I recieved an auto response saying thanks for the business and someone would contact me within 72 hours. I let it go for four days to allow ample time. Still no response and the site has not been updated save to say they got my money and that an order WAS indeed placed on 11-15-2011. After not hearing anything back I have attempted to call them several times over the past few days and now instead of a voicemail recording, a busy signal as if they took the phone off the hook is in its place. Beyond frustrated and angry I once again emailed the sales team at RS6 to let them know how unprofessional and unnacceptable this is and that I would be taking action. I even explained to them that this was not just a gift for a knife enthusiast but an active and decorated member of our Armed Forces and that I had placed the order with plenty of time in advance to ensure that he would get it by the big day. I still have not recieved anything and once again this morning the phone is off the hook. How in the hell is a company that suppossedly prides itself in customer satisfaction and the quality of its products get to skate with not just taking advantage and ripping off the average Joe consumer but our dedicated military men and women as well?! It's like an an additional slap in the face. They do not provide any tracking info nor update the site. I also double checked to ensure I hadn't ordered anything that was on back order or custom made which can take 6 - 8 weeks to deliver. I am absolutely stunned, dissapointed and quite frankly, pissed as all hell at this companys shady practices. My group of friends who are not only avid hunters but who are also mainly current or ex military and law enforcement have already been told and are also boycotting RS6 and thank god I said something because several of them were in the process of ordering tactical gear and other knives. Looks like these guys are shiesters, lack professionalism and could give a rats a** about doing right by their customers, country or maintaining a good reputation.
