I hate to disagree with anyone who had this happen to them, but I was in the same situation and it isn't red box's fault that this had happen especially when they are willing and nice about fixing the issue. I called them up and not only did i get 1 freebie from them but another one as an apology for the machine messing up. So just give them a call and explain what had happen. And be nice about it, they are willing to work with you.

I am sorry to hear about your code not working, but I have to say as long as I have ever used redbox I have never had a problem calling them and getting another code issued if something like this happened. Just a suggestion, if it happens just call them they are some of the best customer service people I have talked to.
