Reed services was hired for my long distance move . I paid 5300.00 up front for the move . A night before my house closing I was contacted by Shannon Reed and was told that I needed an additional truck and she would split the cost with me which was an additional 875.00 at that point I had no other choice but to pay the additional 875.00 The $875.00 was for a 16 foot truck ... The Reeds supposedly packed all my things and everything g was shipped to my new home a thousand miles away . Seven days after my move my realtor contacted me with concern that several things had been left in the garage he immediately submitted photos . Items left behind 7 Christmad Trees my grandmothers corner cabinet that was broken into several pieces 2 antique chaise lounges , part of my patio set , all of my yard tools , 2 expensive lights and a 10 ft silk plant.

I contacted the Reeds with my concerns .. They said I instructed them to Leave the things behind which was a lie .. The truth of the matter that was captured on my neighbors surveillance camera was in fact they did not have room on the second truck and placed everything they could not load on the truck back into the garage . The Reeds assured me they would ship the items to me that also never happened .. I had to pay an additional $800 to have the things removed from my garage and transported to my new home . The Reeds stopped answering my request . Everything I had shipped has some sort of damage some more significant than others ... I have hired legal counsel and been instructed what steps need to be taken should they refuse to disclose their liability insurance carrier .

The move was a total nightmare they destroyed several of my European Antiques and charged me am additional $ 875.00 outside of out agreed contract amount due to their inexperience of estimating appropriately ... SCAM ARTIST is a understatement for these two individuals ... Beware and watch everything that's loaded onto truck otherwise you may come up short handed . I had to come back to my new home to return to work if I had known these two could not be trusted I would have monitored the entire loading of the trucks ... Please avoid the headache find a reputable mover that is respected and truthful ... They rent trucks they do not own a fleet of moving trucks need I say more !!!!!

Mrs. Cox,

In regards to your report on our company, we quoted you a FLAT RATE for 1 (one) 26' truckload and our price was less than half of the competitors. Your terms were 50% down and 50% upon completion of the unload. We were told by you specifically that the items on the right side of your garage were going to be sold at a garage sale and they were not to be moved. Upon arrival on moving day you were to have everything packed into closed stackable containers ready to move as well as have your daughter on-site to direct the movers as to what would go/stay, neither of which happened. Upon loading there were several pieces of furniture that would normally be able to be dissassembled however, in your case the furniture was too old and fragile to take apart which in turn takes up more space in the truck. We relayed to you that some of your items were very brittle and may not transport well due to the condition it was in, you stated "I am not attached to any of this stuff, if it breaks it breaks!" We assured you we would handle it with care as we always do. We at Reed Services take great pride in our work and always go above and beyond for our customers which is why we provided a 2nd truckload at BELOW COST. A move of this nature would have typically cost you between 10-12K base price not to mention the add ons most larger companies would have charged (we were half the price). Upon completion of your unload in which I was personally present there were no visible damages to your belongings. It is when you realized that some Christmas decor was left at the start address (which was in the area of the garage your told us not to move) that you became disgruntled and demand we bring it to you immediatly. Being that we were out of state at that time it was impossible for us to remedy the situation immediatly. Even though it was not our responsibility, we would have still helped. Once the belligerent, intoxicated, threatning text messages and phone calls started pouring in by you not even 24 hrs after you made us aware of the oversight we ceased all communications with you. We in no way shape or form scamed you, we were and always are fair and reasonable people. FYI - We certainly do own our own fleet and also lease trucks when add'l are needed during busy times. Please do not imply that anything was taken from you because that is simply untrue.

Good day,

Reed Services
