Corina, Your stylist should have never had his friends at the shop, or spoken about his sex life. That is just not professional and he should be writen up by his supervisor for his conduct. But about the phone, selling product, and dealing with clients Regis requires it's employees to handle these dutys and depending what shop or division of Regis you work in they pay you next to nothing (50% or min wage what ever is higher) I am an x employee and I can tell you story's!!!! During the christmas season, doing a perm and having to answer the phone 20 times and deal with clients, retail, mostly it's due to Regis being to cheap to pay someone to answer the phone. Yet they are going to reach the 3 billion mark this year.. (record sales in a slugish economy) They required us to do the inventory in 1 day including counting every perm rod, every bobby pin, roller, light bulb,ect.... and all the retail lines and not turn away any clients. my manager and I were there till 3 in the morning doing the inventory off the clock. over worked is the name of the game at Regis Corp.

I am a hairdresser and I just wanted to let you know a few things. I really don't know if this man was reallly rude, he may of appeared that way and he should be more concious of the image he is projecting to the customer. But, on the other hand, we are here to do your hair and not to be your "entertainment" while your hair is processing which can sometimes take a long time with certain types of hair color or lightening processes. Answering the phone also is a requirement of our job and there is not always a receptionist. That isn't good but sometimes thats just the way it is. As for his friends visiting that is okay but it should be limited. He should of told his friends he could talk to them later. I hope that you talked to the manager so that the young man will understand he has to change his language and to see if you could get any compensation because you felt it was an unpleasent visit. By the way, somebody who is good at highlights won't rush and a full head of foils can take up to 3 1/2 hours. I don't know if you had that done but I think that you could have asked how long it may take and come up with a solution that could be more accomadating for your husband and child while they had to wait because you live so far away.
