Res-Com is a rip-off. Don't buy their line. Anyone that says otherwise in this forum or any other is part of the scam and a liar. I didn't bother with the courseware, so I didn't fail the tests. I just know when I've been scammed.

I won't go into all the details of my experiences with them since they are almost identical with the ones you have already read. My foolishness was born of desperation at the time and Res-Com was quite willing to accommodate. Don't be suckered into this like I was. If I had read these reports first I wouldn't have messed with them. Additionally, don't let the inevitable canned rebuttal fool you either.

Mr. Gordon and his crew are definitely there to steal your money. They pose as employers across the nation making claims of easy money. The guy that worked with me was Richard Melrose. He said, "You don't have to be a rocket scientist to do this." Incidentally, neither Richard nor anyone else at Res-Com as ever made any attempt at following up with me as a potential employee. Richard never contacted me once after the money was paid.

It would be nice to confront this man personally, but I can't see that little worm stepping up for that. I knew I had been scammed before I even received the courseware, which came in a package you would normally expect to find on a used audio CD at a flea-market. Still, I couldn't help but open it and give it a try.

What initially threw me off was the fact that they told me I wouldn't need any specialized equipment to do inspections that specifically called for accurate measurements of microscopic particles that exist inside and outside the structure.

They are listed on several home inspection web sites as a scam and according to a Mr. Jim Hobuss, Res-Com and the American Association of Building Inspectors and Environmentalists (AABIE) are currently in violation of standards set by the recognized industry organizations. Precisely, they are not supposed to be associated with each other. Of course, Res-com does not claim to be associated with any of those governing organizations, so that makes them unaccountable to anything measurable and AABIE is only the "authorized trainers." Obviously, Res-Com is operating on a level that obscures their dishonesty and they are immune from the law, but I'm sure that will change.

Once you elect to take the courseware, you are forced to enroll in the AABIE members services which will cost you 9.50 per week or 15.00 per month and, as far as I can tell, you will continue to pay that for a year or two. Res-Com claims they are separate from AABIE, but the billing is for Res-Com. There is a form to request cancellation and I am currently waiting on that, but I'm not holding my breath. I doubt they care. In fact, securing that monthly revenue along with your initial $290.00 is exactly their intent and they know the law says they can do it, since you signed the agreement.

I asked the National Association of Home Inspectors about Res-Com and I received an e-mail from one of their national membership coordinators the following reply: "Vincent, yes, we are familiar with Res-Com and your suspicions are correct. They are not a legit company."

So, there it is. The following are people associated with this scam and I think they are all parasites, either wittingly or otherwise: Kevin Fisher, Anthony Smith, Karen Powers, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Davis, Jose Pascencia, Debra Gray, Crystal Roshe, Richard Melrose, Arian Quaderi, and finally the ring leader Tom Gordon. I sincerely hope I see all of them at the business end of a Sacramento law suit. At the least, I would like that 9.50 charge to my bank account to go away so I can forget this whole offensive ordeal. Don't let the smoke and mirrors fool you. Res-Com is not a legitimate home inspections company.

Correction....

Its a tort..not a crime per se...but its something that I can persue in a court of law. I, in my haste to get information out there to protect myself, forgot to change the terminology on my last post. Please stop harrassing me. I am only trying to do what is right. I am not going to stoop to your level and correct you. That would only give you more information about me that you could use in a future post to try and say you are me again. I am sorry for any confusion they may have caused.

So you have to pretend to be me now?

#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

Why are you pretending to be me? I love how you don't even attack THE TRUTH I PUT OUT THERE but you have to address my personal issues. But the SAD part is that you don't even have the facts right!!!!! So, please...if you have an issue as to what I put out there, why don't you try explaining the truth instead of attacking me? Oh, cause even if I was whining all day, it wont change the truth about your company being a scam. Now please note that you impersonating me is a crime and falls under DEFAMATION. (I knew that business law class would come in handy) So, you might want to watch what you say and keep it real....

MY BOYFRIEND GOT HIS JOB BACK!!

#4UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, February 27, 2006

I am sorry Ed, Deanna Williams, and Gerald Goodwin. They are suing me so I have to come clean. I was making a lot of things up when I posted these comments. I did this because my boyfriend told me Friday that he lost his job at rescom. I was furious. I did not mean to slander them like that. They were always fair with me. They gave my boyfriend his job back. So I will stop making things up about them. Rescom even gave my good friends Jennifer Davis and Michelle Albright a position at their business even though they could not sell a starving man food. The truth of the matter is that I was always crying and whining and making up excuses about how my ex-husband would steal my kids and I would leave in the middle of my shift. I did this many times. I also kept quoting the labor laws at my boss even though I was not an employee. They were going to fire me and they said so to my good friends Michelle and Jennifer who in turn told me. I then chose to quit so that I would not get my contract terminated. Again, I am sorry that I did this. -Monique Worthington

The claims you and yours have made about your oranization are laughable.

You apparently are not reeading the other posting on Res-Com/AABIE. The Fuellings history are part of the postings. The claims you and yours have made about your oranization are laughable. Generally speaking real professionals handle these types of issues in a completely different way instead of letting a thug do the talking for them. Nope you have pretty much been found out, you just don't know it yet. Read the rest of the comments. Jose can you see?

This information comes directly from Network Solutions. WHOIS will tell you who owns domains. As you see Adam Fuelling is the registrant along with Res-Com. Deny all you want, it's right here. So Jose it appears you are backing a losing horse. domain: AABIEONLINE.COM created: 14-Sep-2003 last-changed: 27-Dec-2005 registration-expiration: 14-Sep-2006 nserver: ns29.1and1.com 217.160.224.2 nserver: ns30.1and1.com 217.160.228.2 status: CLIENT-TRANSFER-PROHIBITED registrant-firstname: Adam registrant-lastname: Fuelling registrant-organization: Res-Com Environmental registrant-street1: PO Box 1572 registrant-pcode: 95628 registrant-state: CA registrant-city: Fair Oaks registrant-ccode: US registrant-phone: +1.8057292044 registrant-email: [email protected] admin-c-firstname: Adam admin-c-lastname: Fuelling admin-c-organization: Res-Com Environmental admin-c-street1: PO Box 1572 admin-c-pcode: 95628 admin-c-state: CA admin-c-city: Fair Oaks admin-c-ccode: US admin-c-phone: +1.8057292044 admin-c-email: [email protected] tech-c-firstname: Hostmaster

You are making unqualified statements

#7UPDATE Employee

Tue, February 14, 2006

People buy and sell things all of the time. Why don't you do a search on the AABIE and see who owns it????? I am sure that if you had found any commonality there, it would already be posted in this website somewhere. Also, the AABIE IS NOT in any way shape or form a part of RESCOM. Research something before you make the statement. In addition, the AABIE executive director is not the same person as Tom Stevens or any other Thomas Anderson. Also, Thomas Anderson is a very common name. The information you posted is completely wrong.

Hey I'm only bringing to the world's attention the inaccuracies of your statements. There have been statements that there is no commonality of ownership between Res-Com and AABIE. WHOIS clearly shows that AABIEONLINE is a domain owned by Res-Com. The appearance is that Res-Com puts ads in papers across the US offering work. If the applicant doesn't have what you describe as adequate certification, you send him to AABIE for that. I doubt you offer jobs at all. It's all a ruse to get people to buy your course. You have made specific statements. I have shown that those statements are wrong. I suggest that all the people that have dealt with you in any way contact the Attorney Generals Office.

THAT WAS AN EMPLOYEE-EMPLOYER DISPUTE AND IT WAS SETTLED OUT OF COURT

We Successfully settled that case. It has no bearing on our hiring practices. This guy was trying to get more hours on his timecard and got caught. He then tried to sue us in small claims court...unsuccessfully! He was also forced to return the equipment he kept from our company!

*****VINCENT HAS NOT EVEN TAKEN THE COURSE. THESE STATEMENTS ARE UNQUALIFIED!!!!!

#11UPDATE Employee

Thu, January 05, 2006

I will address each point that Mr. Earley makes in his FALSE report. 1) He did not even "bother with the courseware" according to him so how can we send him out on any jobs. The first statement he makes is FALSE so how can we believe the rest of what he says? WE WILL NOT SEND UNLICENSED INSPECTORS OUT ON ANY JOBS! Mr. Earley has not completed any part of the employment process and has not even informed us of his intent not to continue. HE IS A LIAR! HIS FIRST PARAGRAPH IS A FALSE STATEMENT. 2) He will not go into details about his experience because HE DOES NOT HAVE ONE. By his own admission, he did not even "bother with the courseware." THere are no canned rebuttals, this one is specifically aimed at Mr. Vincent Earley's false claims and slander. We will be suing him as such! 3)We are a legitimate nationwide inspection company. If you have doubts, call and schedule an inspection at anytime (866)971-1001. When Mr. Earley was signed up for his training course, the ball was placed firmly in his court. It was his responsibility to successfully complete the training course sent to him so that we could put him to work. From Vincent's initial call to Mr. Melrose, he explained to him that he needed to be a certified inspector before we can put him to work. So he registered for the courses and we haven't heard from him after this. He has to be a certied inspector before he can even apply. Also, one thing that Vincent did not mention is that you do not have to go through the AABIE in order to get certified. We do not care where your certification is from. As long as it meets our industry standards, we are fine with it. Fill out our online application forms and we will bring you aboard. So, Vincent by his own words, "did not bother with the courseware" and he is calling us a scam? after you tell someone that you want the job, you register for courses, and don't complete them, and don't inform them of this fact is a SCAM!!! Here we are waiting for Vincent to complete his coursework and he "did not bother with the courseware." That is a SCAM! Since he "did not bother with the courseware, we will not bother with Vincent." END OF STORY!!!!!!!!! 4)If he felt that this was a scam, he should have returned the product and went on his merry way. No one FORCED Vincent into anything! He chose to do this and then had cold feet when he saw the extent of the work HE had to do in order to become an inspector. A good career is not going to fall in your lap. You have to work for it! Nothing worth having is easy to attain! If you are unwilling to work hard and looking for reasons to quit something before you even start...Well then, YOU ARE A QUITTER! Winners never Quit and Quitters Never Win! Guess which Vicent is? I will leave the decision to all of you intelligent people out there! 5)Inspectors inspect. They DO NOT conduct specialized microscopic analysis!!!That is for qualified microscopists. This should tell you the extent of Vincent's knowledge. INSPECTOR = INSPECTS...MICROBIOLOGIST OR MICROSCOPIST = ANALYZES SAMPLES. Know what you are talking about before making statements you are unqualified to make! Further, you only need a minimum amount of tools in order to get started in this field. If there are more complex tools necessary, they will be provided. 6) We are listed on 2 inspection sites and if you hapen by them, you will see that they are just discussion sites where people can post whatever they want unregulated by anyone. Further, the posts on there also come from individuals such as the person Mr. Earley who filed this unsubstantiated claim. People who are losers, who do not want to work hard, who want everything handed to them, who fail tests, who fail background checks, always file reports like this because they are malicious and vindictive people by nature. I am sorry to even breathe the same air as people like this malformed offspring! Further, Jim Hobuss is a proprietor of a site called mold-consultants. This is a site that any educated person can tell is a biased website. Again, you do have to have half a brain in order to recognize this fact. Here is the bottom line: on his website, Mr. Hobuss purports that certain certifications are better than others. But if you look at his qualifications and what he feels are "good" certifications, they are the same as his qualifications. So he wants you to believe that only the company he went to get certified through is legitimate and everyone elses certifications are bad or whatever. I made this fact painfully aware to him via numerous messages and he has since changed his website to make himself look better in the public eye but his site is still biased as ever. Only the certifications he holds are legit and everyone else's is questionable. For goodness sake, he feels that the CIH designation is questionable. In order to get that designation, a person has to go through university, take further coursework, and take a day-long exam. All insurance companies and government agencies feel that this is the best certification to have in the country. I think this would qualify as a "good" certification. Yet Hobuss claims it as questionable. He is just as delusional as Vincent so they make a good couple. Also, we are not in violation of any government standards or requirements. We are only going through the AABIE because they are the least expensive and most convenient for us. As I have said before, you can go and get certified anywhere that offers these types of certifications, we do not care. But no matter where you go, you will have to "bother with the courseware." 7)All membership requirements are outlined in the registration process and are plastered at four different areas of the website to let potential inspectors know about all facets of the certification process. How do you expect to take a certification course from an association and not belong to that association? How do you expect to get benefits from an organization and not be a part of that organization? Had Vincent "bothered with the coursework," he would have known that. I can most certainly tell you that any person that did not "bother" looking at something they paid $290 for, did not "bother to read anything they signed either. 8)I would not expect anything less than what was said from a direct competitor of ours. When you are the biggest, baddest, and best inspection firm in the country, people will do whatever they need to in order to survive. The National Association of Home Inspectors is a small mom and pop organization that does not compare to AABIE, or ASHI. They are a wannabe organization with delusions of greatness. 9)So there it is, he has listed our HR Department for us. The list of names are directly taken from our website. If you guys are interested in a great career opportunity, please call us at 866-971-1002 and ask to speak with any of our hiring managers or HR Director. We have never been sued in over forty (40) years in this industry and the last few years as ResCom Environmental, Inc. And we never will! We are a good, reputable inspection company that is in need of inspectors. If you meet the requirements, we will put you to work. Thank-you for taking the time to read this ACCURATE report about our firm. And Vincent, I hope you have a good attorney. If not, you will be needing one!
