Restauration Van.......burg Did not complete job and poor workmanship Pointe-Claire Quebec
I hired a company (Restauration Van.......burg ) to refinish my kitchen cabinets and to build new sections of cabinets. When the owner (Sylvain L.) came by to do provide an estimate, be presented a very through and professional description of what would be done. However when it came down to doing the actual work thats were it all started to go down hill.
It started by talking a lot longer than agreed upon, but the worst part of it all was that he blamed everyone from his suppliers, employees, forgot his tools and even the customer. He also used excuses that he had other customer that was waiting, however before starting the work he clearly stated that he only had a couple of other customers that was to be done before my job and that my job was the next in line. Every time he has provide one excuse or another as to why it is taking so long to complete and when he is contact about this he will come by the house and work for a short period of time and then leave.
The second part was that he did a poor job on what he did do. He constantly told me that it is better to measure 10 times and cut once, but when he actually did do some things, it was more like the opposite. Not only that, he actually broke a part of the cabinet when he was installing it.
I had contacted him several times over the last year and he has assured me more than once that we would complete the job. However it seems that he is not a man of his words as the job has not been completed and it has been more than 8 months since I was able to reach him.
In addition when he is contacted about the completion of the work, he becomes extremely rude and disrespectful. Again blaming everyone else and not taking responsibility for his lack of skills and management abilities.
I have given him and his company at least 4 chances to step up and complete what he has committed to, unfortunately he has no desire to honour any of his commitments.
