I selected Rhino based on three parameters, price, availability and number of web complaints. Their price was good, they had the engine in stock and I found few complaints. When I called to place an order they advised that the price they quoted was wrong because my engine had aluminum heads. I disagreed but they insisted and raised the price. I said ok. They confirmed the engine would ship the next day. Upon returning home I verified that the heads were not aluminum. When I called I could not get a return call. After multiple attempts I got got the customer service manager. He explained that I was correct about the heads but that I still got a fair price and would not credit the overcharge. I asked about shipping and was told it always takes a few days. His only explanation for what I had previously been told was that it was a problem in their system. Daily calls elicited the same response "no it has not shipped, you will just have to wait a few days. 10 days after placing the order for the next day shipping I cancelled the order. I rec'd an engine from another supplier in 3 days. Now I am trying to get my money back. They of course charged my debit card immediately upon accepting the order but they do not seem to be able to process the credit after a week, 2 emails and three calls. Buyer beware. They are quick to take your money for something they do not have and slow to give you credit back. They do however have a wonderful canned line about their great service and product.

Well, it is now into another month and no refund. They did however call early last week and said that it had "fallen thru the cracks". This in spite of all previous follow ups eliciting "it has been processed". I just now called and was told "in process". They would not provide an explanation as to what that means nor when it would occur. As a side note, when I had to cancel the order because they did not ship I ordered from ATK engines. Rec'd the engine in 2 days, swapped it the next week, scheduled core pick up and 1 week after the core pick up I rec'd the core refund. I strongly suggest all potential buyers go elsewhere. I would worry about the solvency of this company

This is a cut and paste of an email I sent. There is no doubt that they are delaying with my money. This order was canceled 8 days ago. Since the charge has not been credited to my account I left a message for Tim and have not rec'd a return call. I did talk to Cindy and she advised that it takes up to two weeks for the credit to process thru the various banks. I checked with the card issuer and they advised that it takes approximately the same time for both a charge and a credit to process thru the system. The charge processed in less than one hour on the day I placed the order therefore the credit should have been processed 8 days ago. The card issuer recommended that I place the entire transaction in dispute with them. I know placing in dispute causes various issues and delays for everyone. Will someone try to locate the paperwork and get it processed or email the documentation showing that it was done so I can effectively deal with the bank and card issuer?
