Rick Wilkins is a fraud and con artist. He manages fraudulent and shady versions of energy and oil
exploration companies. Here is his work history.
He worked at a shady no-name energy company called Southern Plains Oil Corp since 2008 (see his profile on
Businessweek). It has the ticker symbol SPLN but no background, information, or evidence of producing
anything of value. They don’t even have a website. Investigate all you can on SPLN, but these are the few
facts available.
* Year over year, Southern Plains Oil Corp. has seen revenues fall from $73.7K to $1.9K. This along with an
increase in SGA costs has led to a reduction in the bottom line from a loss of $14.0K to an even larger loss
of $307.8K.

This is some fraudulent tax evasion or Ponzi scheme with an oil exploration flavor over a real estate
investing appeal. Typical for criminals to hide behind a sham company.
Another company he managed was RC Oil based in Oklahoma. This too was a sham operation. A group of
investors in Montreal write about how they were ripped off by Alex Barta and Rick Wilkins.

I know of at least 5 people who were conned by Alex Barta and Hassan Syed for over 125 000$ USD in 2008. These guys are the scum of society and have yet to make good on any payment. Bullsh* Oil Projects with Rick Wilkins and RC Oil Company. They're still up to their old tricks and I'm surprised they havent been arrested yet. He had the audacity to contact some of these guys during 2009 and try to get them to invest more in the same projects claiming new drilling techniques will resolve the low production or something. The RCMP or someone needs to get involved and put these people away. What legal recourse to people in such scammed
situations have?
Some more fraud and sham companies he started are Eagle Trading Partners in 1997 and Federated Energy in 2005.
Rick Wilkins is also a gambling, alcohol, and prostitute addict. He goes by the screen name gagambler on prostitution review sites like TheEroticReview.com and hobbyxxxchange.com . The picture of him is his mugshot photo when he was arrested for DUI of alcohol in January 2005 in Cobb, Georgia. He was married many years ago which ended in bitter divorce.
