www.ripoffreport.com is a very useful tool to counter the no goods in our society, I am happy to see that we as individuals that are honost have this luxury at our hands at absolutley no cost to us. Unfortunately this luxury can fall into the hands of the not so honost, causing harm to individuals and companies, distroying reputations all for their own selfish reasons.

Since ripoffreport.com does not have a system in place to confirm complaints then the purity of this system is in jeapordy of loosing all its credibility and causing more harm then good. I have always been a firm believer that one is inocent until proven otherwise.

All I am asking ripoffreport.com to consider my report I wrote that proves that one person is impersonating dozens of people and ruining reputations beyond repair. I sent an email to [email protected] on March 7, 2004 explaining these facts. Search for (International Creative Artist) at www.ripoffreport.com for my report titled HELEN is INOCENT. The complaints in question that are causing harm to Helen are filed under ZAZOU, HELEN GOLDNADEL and CREATIVE INTERNATIONAL ARTIST in Irvine.

If anyone would like to, please respond below, giving correct contact info to ripoff report on who you are, to insure your post will go up. Lets see how long it takes for a reponse from the editor. I am hopeful.

OK, and you have proof of your allegations? Many have tried to sue Ed in the past, but guess what? He is protected from lawsuits by the law itself. Unless you have proof that he, or any "members" of the RoR team, have created false reports on here for financial gain, then you don't have a leg to stand on. RoR was instrumental in helping me shut down a scam artist that was making money hand over fist by making verbal promises to parents regarding child modeling talent. Good luck with your lawsuit. You're gonna need it!

Check your facts before you defend an s****.. It is ok to have a website to protect the consumer, but it is not ok to utilize the consumer to rip off numerous companies that do everything within their power to alleviate and repair the problems for their customers. Yes, maybe this organization has helped a select few but it has also hurt numerous others. A Concerned Citizen that knows the truth..

The Rip-off Report is a Consumer Advocate website, where "Freedom of Speech" is taken very seriously. Some take advantage of the situation. There are fake Reports out there, and as Robin has stated we confront them, if we are aware. In the same token, we cannot and shouldn't be expected to rule as the "Ethics Police" over the behavior of supposedly mature adults, on the entire WWW, as they drift in here. It is not our job to teach them how to behave in public. This is an open forum. When someone posts here, the confidentiality of his or her email is protected. Unfortunately, this can make the "toll and hacker" situation more difficult. You can't blame the website for trolls. You will find them at EVERY site out there, so that it is not equitable, or in keeping perspective, to single out The Rip-off Report. Robin has volunteered countless hours to investigating, and helping other volunteers to work through this conflict, but never at any given point in time did we blame the site. Just access the "Blabber Mouth" category. Shawangunk changed its name to "Plutark" or "Peter Pony Paul Pickle", and thinks we are none the wiser. This is a valuable COST FREE service available for you. The option to donate is possible; yet, many do not consider donating. Just the same, we help within the confines of the law. Most of the information is commonly available to the public, cost free for those who are willing to patiently take the time. In my Rebuttals, and Reports I tell where I found the information, and you always have the option to check that information for yourself. I will try to look into the Report you have mentioned. Again, there have been some FAKE Reports, which slip past; but we shouldn't shut down the whole system of consumers helping consumers, and blame the people helping for a hand full of trouble makers. I have been volunteering for at least a year; Robin has for much longer. Now, AS A MATTER OF POLICY FOWL LANGUAGE, LAWYERS TRYING TO ADVERTISE FOR FREE, COMPANY ADVERTISEMENTS, WHOM DO NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUES ARE DELETED. Other deletions consist of LINKS THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS; along with individuals trying to shift/send consumers to the competitors-of a given corporation in question are ALSO DELETED OUT, to avoid intentional fraudulent Reports/Rebuttals from appearing. Just recently, the ED held back a Rebuttal of mine, to further investigate the source/reference, and I'm glad. I'm not too proud. I would rather the ED & Staff check that source, instead of causing unnecessary stress and misguidance for a victim. At this site the Consumer, the Victim comes first over anyone's ego. Rip-off Report CANNOT PAY FOR or become exclusively involved with checking the validity of EACH AND EVERY Report all the time. Going into extensive detail of a case is not permissible and is virtually impossible, unless a corporation wants to join our new Corporate Advocacy Program-Consumer Resolution/Mediation Program, currently in a testing stage. This program which is an exception to the rule, is available for businesses that truly want to rectify problems. What you are saying might very well be true. There might be someone pretending to be different people. You can submit a Rebuttal just like the rest of us...CALL THEM ON IT. Confront them. The origins of the untruthful statements appear in phony Rebuttals, and they are the ones trying to give out false information; however the genuine Reports filed by victims in various cases usually give all their contact information accurately, according to the Attorney Generals and different media whom sometimes work with Rip-off Report. For example, one of the TV producers at CBS 48 Hours was told by Producer from Good Morning America that the Rip-off Report victims always checks out. 48 Hours Producer agreed, from his experience working with the ED, reliable victim information has always been given. Everyday, somewhere in the USA, TV stations and Newspapers request to speak to victims of the Reported companies. Rip-off Report victim lists always check out, because consumers who file Reports are truly victims, and they always give full contact info. Unlike those filing the Rebuttals, normally they give false contact information to Rip-off Report. What does that tell you!? The Rip-off Report does NOT screen with the perfection of God, and is NOT THE JUDGE AND JURY over the nature of a complaint or validity. All rip-off's matter large or small just the same. We have the right to our own priorities and discernment. The Rip-off Report does not tell people how to think. If a corporation's reputation possibly becomes damaged, they have to prove that they are not victimizing the consumer. It's not enough to say, "Oh well, that's not true." They have to address the allegations placed against them. None of this is all inclusive or exhaustive. Reports are a constant vocation. If there happens to be inaccurate information, it can be corrected in the form of a Rebuttal. You have a choice here. You can choose to make yourself a part of the problem, or a part of the solution. Rip-off Report Volunteer I am an independent consumer. I take no direction from anyone. I simply donate time, investigate, and consider myself an advocate for consumers in need. I respect what the ED has done, with the creation and purpose of the site, just like many others across the Nation.

Mistakes can be made when filing a rip-off-report when a consumer believes they were wronged, which can distort the whole process. I think that happens more often than fraudulent reports being filed.....example. You said you filed your report on March 7, 2004. Interesting, since this is only the 3rd of March. Are we to believe that your report is fradulent because of the incorrect date? Of course not, but this forum does give you the opportunity to correct the mistake, just as with those that reports have been filed against to bring out the facts and figures that prove the original filer was in error. Since most that have grievances filed against them run and hide, who are we to believe?

It is too bad that people write these crazy "fake" reports, but they seem to be everywhere I look on the Internet these days.

Unfortunately, this problem is not new to Ripoffreport.com. If you do a search under the name "Shawangunk", you will see that the readers of this site have risen up against these ugly trolls in the past, weeded out the many identities, and sort of squelched them. They sneak back on occasion, but rarely without being detected by someone who will comment.

Keep in mind that many readers here read some of these reports with a jaundiced eye; most of us are quite capable of determining fact from fiction. And we are aware that there are trolls out there who seem to delight in this mischief.

One person's perceived "ripoff" might make another person scratch his head and wonder what the complainer is yelling about. But it does not alter the fact that that particular poster feels wronged, no matter how hard it might be for others to see it.

The thing to do is continue what you are doing. Send your reports and rebuttals and contradict the alleged falsehoods with the truth. If you are consistent with your rebuttals and refuting this person at every opportunity, often they will simply fade away. Sometimes they will even admit that they posted because they were angry at someone and wanted to "get even".

As for verifying each and every complaint for honesty, how would you suggest that be done?

To contact the person or company for verification will get a vehement denial, whether there is any truth to the report or not. To contact the person making the complaint will simply cause them to back up their story, whether there is truth in it or not. It is a Catch-22 proposition.

Until a "lie-detector for the Internet" is produced, this is simply one of the perils of being here in cyberspace.

That is why each and every report comes with its own rebuttal box. Keep using those boxes.

And if you know what all these phony IDs are, I can suggest you start a post under the "Blabber Mouth" category and blow this person's cover. Point out the different reports that you feel this person has faked and the different identities used. It has been done before and was somewhat effective and very cathartic!

The truth will prevail if presented often enough. Keep presenting, refuting, and offering the truth as you see it. We will figure it out, I promise.
