Rite Stop #3 Rick (owner) cheats customers by overcharging, adding costs of items not bought, double taxing on certain items, and will not give a reciept. Maryville Tennessee
Rick is the owner of Rite Stop. He has owned it around a year. He over charges on your bill. Theres so many people that say they hope somebody reports him but they don't, so I am. Examples: Two days ago I bought a t-shirt for $16.99, 2 packs of sinus meds for $2.99 ea., a 24 oz coke, & a lighter. Rick charged me a lil over $32.00. I said that seemed like it was too much & I need a reciept. He said "sure". When I looked in the bag there was no reciept. I went back in & told him but he said he had already rang up a few others & couldn't pull up my reciept. My sister ordered 6 corndogs. They were suppose to be 2 for $1.50 & we asked right away for the reciept. The total was almost $10.00 & he had a price of 75 cents added on there & there wasnt anything but corndogs that was bought. We live in a small community & everyone knows what he's doing but if you live that far up 129 Hwy. you pretty much have to go there or go all the way to town. My friends husband went in there & wanted sliced bologna from the deli. They charge by the lb. Well Rick rang him up before he even weighed it. That was said some stuff to Rick, did not pay for that bologna he wanted. He just walked out & swore never to go back. Theres a man named Jesse that use to hang around the store all the time until he saw Rick was cheating people & he started warning all the customers & Rick kicked him off the store property from then on. Jesse was so mad he actually sits across from the store almost every single day, just watching over toward the store. I have 2 friends that work there & a family member & they see how bad he cheats people. He has even told his employees that he adds $1.00 on to the cost of people he thinks has stole from him. He says thats how he gets his money back. The other day a elderly man came in with a cigarette coupon for $1.50 off. He only rang up $1.00 off. He tells employees never ring it up for more than $1.00 off no matter how much it is. He says he loses money that way. I could go on & on but basically we really need this guy to stop cheating people. That store is the only store right there. The closest grocery store is about 15 or 20 miles away from Rite Stop. If a stranger came in & bought ab few things, If he has coustomers from out of town, he would cheat them more so than his regulars. Even though he gets fussed at & people are letting him know we see how he's doing he continues to do it. We really need help. This has went on long enough. Thank You.
