Robert (Bob) Hoey Jr, Hoey Marketing, Water Doctors Water Treatment, HMI Water Docs are really Water MORONS by selling systems at PREMIUM prices, then performing service on the system with total INEPTITUDE. Golden Valley Minnesota
The salesman RICK SWANSON described the Eco-Smarte brand of water treatment systems as the very best available for hard water scale control. It should have reduced Iron and other minerals better than a Brine (salt) system. It was supposed to use a process like one used in outer space that would purify it with oxygen. Instead, it only oxidized the Iron molecules into a BROWN SLIME that stained all plumbing and tasted repulsive. They tried adding a filter downstream that just caused more Iron Oxide (RUST) to get into all our water lines, with even more negative results. And, the water wasn't 'soft like' as RICK claimed it should have been.
Water 'Morons' initially failed to install sand filters, which may have resulted in the Demineralizing tank (which should have been removing all iron) getting fouled. They knew they needed to on this new well, as we reported seeing residue in appliances.
They quit trying to resolve the problems after a few months and offered only to replace it with a salt system worth thousands less to me. I refused to deal with their ineptitude anymore and declined the offer. I removed their ECO-SMARTE system myself and now my water is much better. WITHOUT ECO-SMARTE WE NEITHER SEE OR TASTE THE BROWN SLIME!! Good ridance Water Doctors!

As the owner of HMI Water Doctors I did not have any contact with Mr. Todd until he called me with concerns approximately 10 months after the installation of the water system. At that time we agreed to install a sediment filter to catch sand and sediment in his well water. (the initial POE system we installed does not remove solids) Mr. Todd agreed to pay $200.00 and we scheduled the service for the end of July, 2003. After installing the filter he refused to pay our service man and as of the date of this letter still has a $200.00 balance. I called him about the balance and he said he was not going to pay because of the aggravation he suffered. At that time I ended my correspondences with Mr. Todd. Regarding the chlorine pump, we told Mr. Todd we will install the pump but he will need to change the configuration of his outside plumbing or the chlorine will kill his lawn. We never heard any response from him on this matter. We wanted this matter resolved quickly and to the mutual satisfaction of both Mr. Todd and our company. Water Doctors together with HMI Water Specialists has one of the finest reputations in the industry. The National Water Quality Association certifies our company. Our Company is certified by the Water Quality Association and I am a Certified Water Specialist and a Certified Sales Representative. We take great pride in our experience and expertise in water treatment industry. After many attempts to satisfy Mr. Todd we decided to let a third party decided who was right. We went to the: Fourth Judicial District Conciliation Court #306 City Hall 350 South 5th Street Minneapolis, MN 55415 Re: Case # 050304087 In June of 2005 the courts found in HMI Water Doctors favor. Mr. Todd was to recover nothing in his suit. It is unfortunate that Mr. Todd cannot take responsibility for his neglect in the maintenance of the system we installed for him. Had he simply followed the instructions we provided to him he would be enjoying the high quality of water so many other customers enjoy. Water Doctors has over 10,000 customers and it is to be expected that we will have a few complaints. Mr. Todd if you read this response, I take offence at being called a water Moron it has been over 2 years since you lost your case in court, get over it and move on with your life!
