DO NOT RENT FROM ROBERT!!! Robert is the most inconsiderate, ignorant, money minded, rude, demeaning, slumlord I’ve ever talked to (we’ve never met in person...go figure). He owns so many properties that he doesn’t know what to do with them. Our house was filthy and not cleaned when we first moved in and it has imposed many issues on us throughout the year. Windows are unable to open because they have been sealed shut with paint, fire detectors did not work, the oven had years of grease build up, the basement carpet smelled like animal pee, etc. He refuses to pay/fix problems and disregards maintenance requests. For example, a bedroom in the basement was flooding do to heavy rain and his solution to that problem was for us to buy plywood and prop it up against the window to redirect the water. This obviously didn’t work because there were large puddles built up in front of the window which was leaking through the windows and foundation. This would never have been a problem if the gutters were actually cleaned out once in awhile. Another example of his ignorance was there was heavy snow which broke a lot of large branches in our yard, one of which had fallen on an electricity line. Roberts solution was to call the City, but that is not a City problem because it is a landlord problem. Our house is a s*** hole, my friend who also rents from him has a s*** hole of a house, and I am certin the rest of his properties are s*** holes. If you call Robert regarding questions and concerns, he will be rude and of no help. Good luck to anyone renting from him and I suggest you get an inspection on your rental house!
