the defensive tactics of this attorney are disturbing and rather pathetic.

I am sorry if your experience with our firm was anything less than satisfactory.

It sounds as though you had an experience with our firm that is not a true representation of our law firm, or how we handle our cases.  Our firm does strive for the high quality that many of our clients have come to expect from us. 

You did mention experience in regards to your son’s case, and each of our attorneys handling DUI have been through the National College of DUI Defense annual program at Harvard Law School in Cambridge Massachusetts.  In addition, we have all gone through Field Sobriety Testing student and instructor training, and so are at the same level of instruction as those teaching police officers performing field sobriety testing, and have gone through blood testing certification, and breath testing certification from nationally accredited sources.

Mr. Miller in particular has experience in handling thousands of DUI cases, including hundreds of court and jury trials.

Having experience is only one part of the overall attorney client relationship, as you’ve expressed, however.  Unfortunately, the bar association, and the law, does not allow an attorney to promise, or guarantee, the ultimate outcome of a case that is up to a judge, or jury, or under the control of a prosecutor.  Even cases where there was a drunk driving or DUI arrest that may seem to be a case that should be won have many layers of aggravating facts, mitigating factors, and defenses that may be stronger or weak than first assumed.  Every case deserves attention and proper handling, however. 

We ask for comments from clients at the close of a case so that we can address issues, by performing additional services, explaining or assisting where needed, including, if a client changed their mind or strategy, doing what we can to withdraw a conviction and assert a client’s right to trial, or even refunding a client’s fees paid where warranted.  We want our clients to be happy, as the number one source of clients is, and has been for over a decade, personal referrals from satisfied clients, not advertising.

We do not control other websites, but we do handle our firm and how high level our training, policies, and performance should be, and is.  It sounds like we failed you somehow in this case, and we do want to make things right.  Our training and procedures have changed slightly for the better a few times since this case, and the goal is that future customers will not have this issue, or any issues even close to being like the issues you described.

Often, when families go through, or your son goes through, a DUI, a person is nervous, scared of the potential consequences to their criminal record, and license, and does not know what to expect.  Our firm can see that many other lawyers practicing in DUI defense as a specialization often forget that, and we want to make sure that our staff, and our lawyers, never forget that and never forget that we are serving people going through sometimes the most difficult time of their lives.
