Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My check engine light came on as soon as I picked up the car. I assumed this couldn't possibly have anything to do with the install, so I didn't bother mentioning it. WRONG. These morons put a screw through my trunk when they installed amps etc and it punctured a gas hard line underneath! Had to have mechanic drop the gas tank to replace the line! Very expensive repair. I decided my original concerns weren't worth BAR trouble but I am not going to let this slide.  I have punctured hose, receipt from mechanic, and mechanic willing to explain to BAR that aftermarket amp installation screw punctured the gas line and caused this problem.

First time I came in I got a quote on labor to have some RCA wires ran as I intended to do the rest of the install myself. The quote was fair but I wanted to try and do it myself first.

So I picked up a distribution block, wire harness, and antenna. Was advised that I would lose steering wheel control and told him I already got my pac-swi.. Ran me 90, the block was priced at 49 and I was told its cause stinger is top of the line, wont rust, etc. I checked on a site and it was 9.99 with free shipping. I showed the guy and he walked out mid sale and went to have a personal call out in front of the business, leaving the installer to finish the sale with me. I bought the stuff anyways.

I showed up the next morning, gave install wires and the distro block, double din kit if needed and went over some very basic things: amp placement for tuning access, trim ring for deck, placement for base knob, USB extension cord, L brackets to secure sub box and desire to install very simple grill covers.

Not a single one of these issues got addressed. If these were the only problems i would chalk it up as a mediocre experience. BUT...

Mid install I got a call saying its more complicated than I was told due to needing to run wire from the factory amp. I explained no, I am putting in the 4 channel amp I left with you guys, and we dont need to run anything from factory amp. This made me wary, do they not communicate? Pretty significant misunderstanding but I let it go. This meant I had to cancel with my mechanic but I didnt even tell them or complain. They needed my car for 8 hours still.

Then installer calls back saying my rear speakers arent speakers they were subs. Not news, I get my bass from my sub as initially discussed with sales guy. Then he says well we need mounting ring, quotes 150. At this point I was very wary of mid install bait and switch. I said no just screw them to rear deck. they previously quoted 25 a pair for custom mdf rings, the same thing.

I go pick up car, too much of a rush as it took long to finish install. I was almost late for mandatory meeting so I did not inspect the car I just said thanks, paid, shook hands, and told them to expect a beefy 5 star review. Guy clowned my pioneer 4 channel but who cares.

Factory wires coming off rear coaxials not sure why they didnt run straight 16 gauge that I left but whatever.

main issue: scratches in several places on paint!!

If it was just a thing or two I wouldnt trip. But they caused more damage than the cost of the whole install.

To sum it up:

*quoted for all inclusive install. Not everything got done.

* No dash kit, no deck trim ring, base knob just dangling there, no usb extension, no grill replacement . My PAC-SWI got taken out of packaging but left in trunk, not installed. I could live with most of this and be disappointed, i got a good quote i thought, but the steering wheel control thing was frustrating.

* amps not placed for tuning accessibility like i asked. This would have been simple initially i didnt even want them to do amps etc but quote was good. Still not a huge deal to me.

*speaker grill got cracked. Not huge issue but really, you don't install my grills but crack factory grill?

*front part of my fosgate sub cone got cracked. This really pissed me off.

* two pieces of my wood grain trim got scratched and cracked. My other trim pieces were not in best condition but the ones they cracked had no cracks before install!

*cracked my driver side parking light lens, how did this even happen? Two cracks in it.

*one small piece of trim in middle of passenger door panel was not replaced there is just a hole there it looks hurt, no explanation.

*the biggest issue was that there are scratches in several places on the paint. did not buff out. this was really the deciding factor for me to leave this review.

*cost to fix damages exceeds cost of install!

We apologize that your not satisfied with the service that was provided at our business . Let me start off by saying we take pride in our work to make sure we do our best to keep all customers happy. How ever the statement you have provided is false. We have pictures of your vehicle and phone records that indicate that we had contacted to notify you about the issues your vehicle had starting off with broken speaker covers, its a 15+ year old car nothing was perfect. You how ever were on a budget so we could only do as we talked about nothing extra. You stated that you "tried" installing yourself which means the vehicle we received from you wasnt untouched. You also stated you didn't wait you took the keys and left well it was your responsibility to check the vehicle before you drove off and let us know if you spoted any flaws. Also on that note the product was not new so if it was missing a trim ring and so fourth its not our responsibility to cover that. Your 4 channel amp you had asked our installer for his opinion he stated it wasnt the best. If you would like to check out before and after pictures feel free to contact us at 916-344-4266 thank you.
