I have met Will and Nicola at Roscoes and belive them to be hard working, honest and sincere people. I also think that if "BUBBA" spoke a word of truth, he would have found an lawyer to represent him by now, and that by trying to discredit these good people by overshadowing the issue with race and religious slander. That just shows he is not the type of person he states he is. I also find it hard to belive someone who will accuse other people in this manor by name, but refuses to use his own. "Bubba's" report reminds me of the old saying "AN EMPTY WAGON MAKES THE MOST NOISE" and I honestly belive this to be true in ths case.

I was trying to find information relating to 'Roscoe's' as someone suggested going to this restaurant in Phoenix. I happened to come across this 'RipOff' website, and read what previous owner expressed. I then read other comments. I felt strongly enough to send my comments - being a business owner of several successful restaurants over the past 23 years. This was written about back in August, but still felt compelled to add my opinion. I hope this gets read by the person who first wrote this complaint. First of all, I feel for all involved there was even a problem. I will say, secondly, I would hope you had everything in writing. Verbal may seem great 'at the time', but when dealing with business, and even with friends, and a trusted landlord... it does not pay to not have all things 'spelled out' - in writing. This is what concerns me with reading this. It sounds as if, in my opinion, there is more to it than what you put here. If one is talking numbers of $40,000, and one's retirement; it would only behoove one to get all the agreed understood by everyone. This apparently did not happen. The "Landlord did the mediating" was a questionable statement right there. If so, the landlord would have all in writing and would have been signed off on by you and the new tenants. It all 'boils' down to what is in writing. If you valued all this so much, and your retirement; you should have a lot in 'writing' to back up what was your agreement and understanding by you, the new tenants taking over the business, and your landlord. What do you have in writing? It should be for one - an agreement for the new tenants to take over the lease and payments. It should be a matter of the equipment (being yours) to be a separate signed agreement to purchase the business/equipment with a separate written document; since, from what it sounds like, they were not able to pay you $40,000 up front. If you do read this, I would be interested to hear what you have in writing. If you don't have this (what I previously stated); it is a matter of you being at a loss right there. (Seller beware.) This is not a matter of a 'racial' issue. It does not matter whether one is black, white, red or blue. This was a business transaction. Whatever was verbally conveyed also about personal opinions does not matter. It is just personal. You are talking 'business' here; however, so stick with the business matter at hand. I am not taking any side here. I just would like to hear what you conducted with the matters put in writing. Any attorney will start from there also, pro-bono or not. I am sorry for any animosities with all involved. I know how it is to have a deal gone 'sour'. I have learned also from mistakes. I feel for you here if this was a case of trusting. Let me know what was in writing...

Roscoe has kept his word from the very beginning. This man, and I use the term loosely, told all of us about new equipment, goodwill, business numbers, etc., and all proved to be inflated or outright lies. He got the money he asked for and then had seller's remorse. That's business, pal. Isn't it interesting that EVERYONE'S lying except him? Attorney's take cases on a contingent basis every day. The fact that he can't find an attorney to touch it speaks volumes. And the allegations that Roscoe EVER played a race card is ludicrous. Read between the lines of his report and you'll see a sad, bitter, racist, sniveling weasel.

I have the pleasure of doing business with Will and Nicola and have been doing so from the very beginning. These are nice caring people that work very hard. I am a business man and have been in business disputes in the past all of which were able to be settled using the court system and all settled amicably. I find much of your complaint to be racist. Basing any of your argument on race is unacceptable, and to say that you don't trust black people because of this transaction is outrageous, atrocious, heinous, monstrous, scandalous, shocking and and idiotic. I know nothing of your transaction but I do know contracts. If you made a bad one shame on you. If they breached one shame on them go to court figure it out. But to spew the venom you preach and call yourself a Christian is an offense to people of faith and comes across as nothing more then bigotry.
