Breeding defective dogs and selling them knowingly. Does not return calls when complaint is mentioned. Notified by a vet that dog has a defect and she needed to re-evaluate breeding. Stated she would continue to breed these dogs with her vets approval. Challenged my vet findings, wanted me to return dog to be evealuated by her vet, and if he belived the claim, which she "doubted he would" she would replace dog AT MY EXPENSE. She has no regard for temperment or genetics. I was lied to every step of the way as soon as the money exchanged hand. She has multiple complaints listed with the BBB and the local Weimaraner club.

RUSH KENNELS I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Regarding the articles on Rip-Off Report.....I believe these articles could have been written by a disgruntled employee.  Most of these articles are bogus and untrue.  The person or persons that wrote them did not leave a way for anyone to contact them to verify the information posted.

I worked for Rush Kennels for several months and know first hand that most of these reports are bogus. The person I believe is behind writting these reports is an ex employee that was let go for various reasons, she told me she was going to slam Rush Kennels all over the net.

Rush Kennels puppies are handled daily by there staff and also go through extensive puppy classes.  The puppies are also checked by a veterinarian before leaving the facility.  They have a health guarantee contract drawn up by an attorney for the protection of Rush Kennel and there customers.  Rush Kennels handles all issues in a professional, business manner.

I also believe Ripoff Report website was designed for the sole purpose of causing problems for legitimate businesses.  Anyone can go to the site and post untrue remarks.  Using common sense and good judgement will help bring you to this conclusion.

Although anyone in business knows that on occassion, there are those that cannot, and will not, be satisfied no matter how hard you try to come to a satisfactory resolution.

Rush Kennel has been in business for over eight years and testimonials are posted on   there home website.  They also have hundreds of satisfied customers and have not built there business by being unfair.

It is so sad that someone could stoop this low. I know first hand that Rush Kennels will continue to produce beautiful healthy puppies. To Rush Kennels and staff, I love and miss you guys!

Rush Kennels Rebuttal

The Rushes have not made any attempt to contact me concerning the AKC papers, The vacination records that were and still are missing. Nor why the dogs they sent me are wild, farrel, biting dogs. It has been almost 2 wks since my last email to them. I can do absolutely nothing with these dogs. I do not believe one word I was told from Lauren, there is not proof of anything I was told, except for the $900 canceled check from my bank account and that they are dogs. The dogs will be in quanentine till Tuesday. I don't see that Rush Kennels is bothered one bit that they put people in harms way or children or adults that are allowed on my property. No wonder it was their hope I did not get these dogs back-no dog no explanation. Well the fact of the matter is if they not been starved in the first place I would not have been able to keep them hear by putting food out every day and night and trapping them with the help of the dog warden here in my county. This is nothing less than a criminal act on their part and I do consider it nothing less than criminal to ship dogs from state to state without records of vacinations, fraud and no restitution which was accompanied by a slur of how heartless I am for giving a description of the condition of the dogs when they arrived. I have documentation of their condition. I have a certificate of health with the Rabies collum left empty and that it was left empty because the vet had no record of the vacinations.

My family and I just purchased our second Weimaraner from Rush Kennels, they are healthy and both have great temperments, we could not be happier. Our Veterinarian referred us to Rush Kennels, he said that he has examined several of Rush Kennels puppies over the years and they have all been healthy, they came highly recommended. The kennel is clean and is in a beautiful wooded area, over looking a large pond. The staff is very professional and knowledgable. It's apparent that this kennel takes alot of pride in running a top notch facility.

Rush Kennels members of the "Online Business Bureau" ALERT !!! Concerning The " Better Business Bureau " other words " Buyer Better Beware " BBB

#6Consumer Comment

Thu, October 23, 2008

It has been reported to the 'badbusinessbureau.com' that, the BBB encourages and solicits money from the very businesses they monitor! How could this be beneficial to the consumer? Consumers have reported, the BBB DOES NOT report consumer complaints which are under investigation, even when they know the business is under criminal investigation and is about to be shut down. ......(see victim's story down below) What the BBB does, is give the business that is being reported the opportunity to respond. If the business responds many times this is enough to give the business a satisfactory rating, no matter what their response is! Most BBB offices do not report any past history of a business, even when that business continuously victimizes different consumers. Even when the business just continuously satisfies each costumer complaint, you will never know of this information in the future. All you might know is, ....'they have satisfied their complaints.' ..GIVING THEM A SATISFACTORY RATING. Even when a business does have complaints that are unsatisfied, they still might get a satisfactory rating. The BBB Better Business Bureau will not tell you what the complaints were even when they tell you, they satisfied all complaints. The BBB must realize what a consumer must have gone through before resorting to filing a complaint! And for every consumer that did file a Complaint, there are 20 others that did not complain. And you can be next! When consumers see that Better Business Bureau plaque, this gives the consumer a false sense of security. Consumers need to be made aware of this rip-off & misconception nationwide. Remember, all you need to do to become a BBB member and get that very impressive, overrated BBB plaque, is to call the BBB and tell them you want to be a member. You can tell the BBB any lie you want about yourself, ...they will never check it out. That's correct! They never check it out. All that BBB plaque means is, they paid their dues. (Period) Services they provide? Services is an over statement! If they ever try to resolve your dispute by having mediation, the BBB decision means nothing in a court of law. The BBB does provide a mediation service, but the BBB cannot force the business to do anything for you to resolve your consumer rip-off. They can only make suggestions. And if the business does not comply, this will not insure an unsatisfactory rating for the business that ripped you off. Not too good for the consumer who has been victimized and not to good for future consumers who will call the BBB to see if the business has a good rating before they do business.. Even when many complaints are satisfied by a business, they can still get a satisfactory rating. Many times, all a business needs to do to satisfy the victim's complaint is just simply answer the BBB alleged complaint. Consumers put too much faith and respect into the BBB. The BBB is in the business of collecting fees from the very businesses they monitor. That's like the fox guarding the hen house. The " Online Business Bureau" is a much better way to check out a business.

RUSH KENNELS IS ABSOLUTELY FIRST CLASS

#7Consumer Suggestion

Fri, March 28, 2008

After reading a couple of these reports, I felt a need to post my own report to let others know what my thoughts are concerning Rush Kennels. I purchased two Weimaraner's from Rush Kennels several months ago. I was very impressed to say the least. Rush kennels is absolutely first class. My visit was very pleasant, the facility was extra clean and Mrs. Rush and her employees are true professional dog breeders. I found them to be very knowledgable, they seemed to truly care about the dogs health and temperments. All the dogs looked healthy and happy. I knew after being at the kennel for a short while that my search was over. I left with a good feeling that I had made the perfect choice. I have never owned such amazing dogs. I recommend Rush Kennels to anyone wanting a healthy well bred family member. Dr. David

Online Business Bureau is Better than the Better Business Bureau

#8Consumer Comment

Tue, March 25, 2008

About the Online Business Bureau..... They are not the Better Business Bureau. The Better Business Bureau charges companies hundreds of dollars each year to become members. The BBB is a private corporation. The BBB needs to collect dues from its members to pay for their large corporate overhead. Most people do not realize that the BBB is just a private company - and not part of any government agency. The Online Business Bureau is a better alternative for consumers to investigate whether a business is legitimate. Our membership dues are much less than the BBB charges. As a result, many more businesses are willing to join our organization. We believe this allows us to offer greater consumer protection. While we allow any business to join the bureau; we specialize in rating companies that do business online through a website. The Online Business Bureau maintains an extensive database of companies doing business all over the globe. Our service allows you to research a company before giving them your money. We also give you our assessment of a company whether or not they are a member of our organization. If you need to investigate a company or research a company, we invite you to use our service to look up a company. If you've been unfortunate enough to have a bad experience, you can use our service to file a complaint about a company. We'll then contact the company on your behalf and ask them to solve your problem. You can be assured that companies who do not respond to complaints through us will receive a negative rating, regardless of whether they are a member. We are always adding features and resources to our site. We hope you find our free consumer protection services useful. If you have comments or suggestions, we would love to hear them. You can send us your feedback using the contact us link. "Do your homework before giving away your money

Sorry, but I have no faith in a company that you PAY a monthly fee to list your business with. They also guarantee an instant GREEN rating when you join - basically, you automatically earn a top rating with them when you pay for it. Bogus...

Rush Kennel Breeds Wonderful Dogs

#10Consumer Comment

Fri, March 21, 2008

I am shocked to see these reports regarding Rush Kennel. I have purchased two Italian Greyhounds from Sheila over the past year and they both are wonderful, fun, loving, well tempered dogs with a clean bill of health so far. I can tell that a lot of love was put into both of these animals. For someone to say that Sheila is only about the money is rediculous. Both times that I picked up a puppy, Sheila was able to tell me about their temperments and what they enjoyed, indicating to me that she had spent a lot of time with these animals. She also seemed fairly disappointed that she had to hand them over to me. Rush Kennel has a beautiful facility and is nothing like a puppy mill. Rush Kennel can be hard to contact, but as busy as they are raising and training all those puppies I completely understand. I have never had problems with callbacks. Have some patients and they will call you back.

Have Three Italian Greyhounds from Rush Kennels and All Perfect and Healthy

#11Consumer Comment

Wed, December 19, 2007

I am dismayed when I read reports about Rush Kennel. My family has three Italian Greyhounds from Rush Kennel. My vet has been so impressed with the girls he wants one for himself. We have had NO health problems and could not be happier with our dogs. My vet was also extremely impressed with the socialization my puppies received and our IG's are friendly, loving and not remotely skittish. I take my dogs to many IG functions and get togethers and people cannot believe how friendly and confident our dogs are. I had to let others know that many many people love the dogs from Rush Kennels, and have had no problems and rate their kennels extremely highly. I also have to add that I have had a few questions about potty training and food.....and have heard back from Sheila or her staff immediately. Last thing I want to add is that all of the people I met at her kennel, from Joy in the nursery to the grounds manager and her secretary...they could not have been more loving in regards to the animals. My dog Willow was adored and kissed and hugges so much in the nursery...that she now sticks out her neck so someone will kiss it......Please go to her website and read how many people are thrilled with their dogs. I think her dogs are top notch and want others to benefit from such amazing pets!

The dogs seemed well maintained and adjusted to a life most dogs only dream of. There indoor Kennels blew me away. Rush Kennels is truly top notch, they care about there dogs wellfare. The puppies are held until eight weeks of age, this gives puppies the time they need to play and learn from there siblings. This kennel is a licensed business with a high code of ethics. I did purchase a male Weimaraner and he is everything I was looking for and more. For great service contact Rush Kennels, you are guaranteed to recieve a family member that will meet your every expectation.

It's been proven that a disgruntled employee that we had to let go due to various reasons posted several bogus comments about our facility, this person also made several bogus complaints to the Better Business Burea. Glad to say most people see this for what it is, untrue and clearly an act of spite. A link has been added to our website to the Online Business Burea, simply click on the link for a satisfactory review about Rush Kennels. Better Business Bureau does not recommend Rush Kennels

#15Consumer Comment

Fri, October 26, 2007

In response to Lauren, if you go to bbb.org (better business bureau website) go to the research a company link and type in Rush Kennels it says, and I quote, "Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record. Complaints concern, among other things, purity of breed and overall health of animals sold." So no they are not recommended by the Better Business Bureau with no complaints, just no answered complaints that were filed with the Bureau.

Responce concerning Heather's Boxer Post

#16Consumer Comment

Tue, October 16, 2007

It's apparent that the post made by Heather concerning a Boxer puppy is untrue. Rush Kennels does not even breed Boxers, all anyone simply has to do is visit there website. I have purchased two puppies over the years from Rush Kennels and have also had several of my friends and family who have also purchased puppies from there facility. This Kennel has an amazing reputation for breeding top quality dogs, it's a professional licensed facility with a five star rating. They are members of the online business bureau with not one complaint. As a customer I just wanted to let everyone know how I feel about Rush Kennels. Most people understand that there is always going to be people out there for some sad reason who just feel a need to cause trouble and make false statements. Rush Kennels is absolutely the best!!

NO DEFECTIVE DOGS BRED HERE

#17UPDATE Employee

I have been the secretary of Rush Kennels for over seven years, its our policy and recorded in our Health Guarantee Contract, that in the event a customer has a problem with a puppy, we must be notified with the conclusion of the veterinarian findings and recieve Veterinarian documentation in order to verifie there is a problem. As of todays date we have yet to recieve a letter, phone call or any form of documentation from Donna's veterinarian, we have no proof that infact there was a problem with her puppy. Donna was told that if we recieved documentation about her puppy, we would move forward with her complaint in a professional manner. Three years is more than enough time to prove her claim, if she truly had one. Rush Kennels has been in business for over eight years with hundreds of satisfied customers, all anyone simply has to do is visit our website guestbook, it says it all about what customers think of our facility.

I'm from Va., purchased a toy poodle puppy from Rush Kennels 10 mos ago...the puppy is healthy, active and beautiful. Everything promised by Sheila Rush 100%..reg.papers, parents on sight, followup phone calls. I would recommend her as a choice breeder concerning my dealings with her. Rush Kennels Breeds Defective Boxers Also, my beloved Daisy, Died on 08.04.03

#19Consumer Comment

Sat, April 03, 2004

I can't believe I just found this website. If I had seen this prior to purchasing my beloved Daisy, Boxer then I would not have purchased her. Purchased Boxer on August 1, 2002. 1) Was Promised AKC Papers, Never received. 2) Animal check was performed by vet and she was found to be defective. Called Sheila Rush numerous times and never received a response. 3) Daisy Died on 08.04.03 after finding her having a seizure and being taken to the vets office. He called it Congenital Encephalitis (sp). Mainly, because of bad breeding. PLEASE do not fall into this trap. Thousands were spent on medical bills, I have receipts, and nothing could be done. I even called to let Rush Kennels know about this and they never responded. (I didn't want anything but to let them know about the defect).

Im soo sorry you are having problems with this breed of dog. You where not specific on what the defect was, and if it was a life threating, or just superficial. I have talked to lots of breeders of dogs and hardly any of them even offer a refund or exchange for a defective puppy. I would be happy to get another pup, after prooving the defect and keep the one you have. That is good buissness. I hope you pup gets better.
