Sorry, there wasn't just a "comment" option. Not sure who wrote this report that I was reading, but line 4 in the first paragraph says "WALLA" what is that? I THINK you meant to put "Voila" ?? OK so I work for the grammar police - you may ignore it, but if you can edit, you may want to since it is the opening for the story.

Constance, a lawyer warned me about four years ago that court records (especially transciptions) are often altered to benefit the DA. Transcriptions need to be reviewed promptly by those involved in testimony. They should be given an opportunity to comment about the transcript. Errors WERE made in transcripts in our case! One place where the transcript read 2-3 days should have read 20-30 days. That's a LOT of difference in many cases! The statement contained in the transcript was that a child was hospitalized 2-3 days but testimony was tht the child was hospitalized at least thirty days! Court transcriptionists do the best they can and seldom intentionally make such devastating errors. However, the errors are there and need to be change to reflect the correct court transcription.
