Complaint Review: salvation army - miami Florida

I am homeless and at the salvation army as we speak with my child. when i first got here me and my child was place in a dirty room and i really got to witness the way foster kids are treated. There are donation made everyday to this company worth millions and millions of dollars and the staff members are the ones that use this benefit to the best of there ability for themselfs and not the clients. I ask about school and was told by the case worker to get a job because the want u to use the assistance from the government instead of the salvation army itself. Also the ask me about my benefits and told me i have to give them half of what i recieve and also my wic that is for my baby. in return the gave me old baby food and treaten to kick me out for asking to make a sandwich.

 As i am writing this its a girl that was once in the program and left for a week and is asking for her wic card. I have been here for three days and i breast feed my baby i have not eaten because the food is horrible and if you have a special deit u are told u have to eat what the want you to eat. Keep in mind this is a homeless shelter and you have no idea how or where your food was prepared and you are not even allowed to make food for your child. your child no matter how young have to survive on its own.

 Now to manager of this salvation army had a word with me and treaten to kick me and my child outside on the streets with no help what so ever and this is not her place this is paid for by the goverment. On top of all this there are kids here and the staff member are aware of this because it is a family shelter and there is a huge two flight stairs with no baby profroving for a child to be protected from falling down a two flight stair way. I witness the staff member tell on client to watch there child and this is a client with three kids and she is a single mother You dont want your child to fall down and buss is head AGAIN. Shame that the salvation army that get donations and things for free cant use a free fencing to protect kids from a stairs in there building. Nothing was done about this matter and the talk about church i have witness the most eviless people at the place than ever before and there focuse is on what they can recieve for there self for free.

 Yes the salvation army do help people but can you imaigine how much scam and stealing is being done the homeless situation would be way better today and may not even exist because this is a fight that has been going on for years and this organization started to protect the homeless. but it people working in the facialty that are pulling up everyday driving the most expensive cars and living the good life and taken care of there family and friends of the donation giving to the salvation army. the clients are scaried to speak about this and cry every night because there kids are even treated bad and they are treaten with being put out on the street>so any accident does not get report or any mistreatent because of fair of not being heard and being put back on the streets. It is getting from bad to worst and there is no one to complain to because everyone is focus on the items and the money they can recieve. Its a shame three simple things you ask for has to come with so much force a shower, Clean food, and a bed to sleep in. A safe place to cook it and bath your self to be productive to the enviroment. the salvation army do help is some of the workers who abuse ther jobs
