Sam Leman's Leman's Chevy City And Many Others Ripoff DON'T buy a van from here Bloomington Illinois
I was looking for a nice used van. So I went to Sam Leman's they promised a GREAT deal. I told them what I was looking for in the van. They did not have one that day but told me they would call me back, and they did.
So I drive 45mins. to look at this GREAT van they had for me. Only to get there and find out that yes it was the year, make, and model I was looking for but, it was not the extended wheel base I wanted. So I told them no I don't want this van. Well after some HIGH pressure sales I gave in to them. Well after driving the van for just a few short weeks the low coolent light starts coming on. So I took it and had it looked at and was told yes its low we added some to it and things where fine for a few more weeks.
Then the light comes back on again. I took it to be looked at again and once again its low. So I call Sam Leman's drive back another 45 mins for them to look at it and tell me yes you have a hole in the head gasket it will be $675. to have it fixed. Well we found a different fix for that problem. Then after a few more months my low traction light starts coming on and my ABS light. So once again I take it to be looked at by someone else and they tell me my speed sensor is going bad I need to call to see how much one will be. So I do and they tell me it will be $415. for that part. Then I find out trying to change insurance on it that this van has had 2 owners before me and has been wreaked.
So I call Sam Leman's and talk to Matt (I think) a mang. for used cars and told him all these things and asked him why I was not told it was wreaked and that I would like them to fix these things this is a 1999 van and I should NOT be having these problems with it. I was told if they do that for everyone they sell a car, truck, van or anything else to they would be out of business. So this makes me think that they must know they sell junk to everyone..........
