I purchased a new 2005 Saturn Ion 2 in January 2005. Part of the purchase incentive included a $3,000 mark down on the sticker price and an extended warranty to 60 months or 60,000 miles. I was told this was a Saturn extended warranty. I have the original paperwork from the dealer with my Vehicle ID number on it.

The Dealer, Saturn of Springfield, Ma and Saturn Corporation have not acknowledged or honored the warranty. This is the third time I have had to request assistance from the Saturn Corporation CAC. My car has been disabled since Saturday, June 21st. I had to pay to have it towed to the Dealer on Monday, June 23rd. After several calls, I learned today that the problem is with the "housing and the inition". The dealer is still claim that they do not know what type of warranty I received and are "researching" the warranty. This is the 3rd time this has occurred and each time I have been told the warranty would be placed on the national registry but this has never occurr. I was told today that they have not ordered the necessary part because they are unsure who pays for them.

Other local dealers have closed and the dealership at Saturn of Springfield is on it's 3rd staff turn over since I purchased my vehicle.

I have less than 30,000 miles on my car. This is just the most recent abuse in a series of abuses regarding honoring the promises (in writing) that came when I purchased my vehicle.

Check to see if you purchased a "GAP Warrantee". This is a special warrantee over and above the regular one sold at the time of purchase. This warrantee should cover any repairs that are beyond the regular warrantee. This is a valuable piece of paper. It can be checked through your original Deal Jacket, stored at Balise's Headquarters in West Springfield. Call the Car Deal Department Manager at 413-735-1037. They will help you from there if the store does not have any answers. If you have problems, speak directly with the store General Manager, if you have not already. Don't not continue to waste anymore time with the underlings if they don't effectively help you. His name is Gary Ciesco. He is a good man. His email is [email protected] . He will work with you.
