Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I attended SCAD in 2004-2008 and graduated with a degree in fashion design. Sadly the school is not worth the money you and your parents  will pay. When I attended SCAD Atlanta campus the school decided to have Professor Sachi teach. What I have seen she should be fired. During my senior year  Sachi did another students senior collection for her. Sachi made the patterns and sewed the entire collection, the student did not lift a finger except buy Sachi food and coffee.  The Professor's excuse for the student was"she doesn't know how to do anything and needs help". This was ridiculous because this student took the pattern making classes and intro sewing classes just like all of us. SCAD  considers this cheating or academic dishonesty. This was not the only dishonesty practiced by Sachi. She didn't like one of her students and she would give thema failing grade. Sachi was approached by the student who pointed out that she turned in all her assignments on time and was never late for class.  When the student looked over other classmates assignments they didn't have all their work turned in and most of them hardly showed up for class but Sachi gave them an A.

SCAD  offers scholarships but they claim their students can only have one scholarship for the school year. Yet I have met students who had 2 or 3 scholarships per year offered to them by SCAD. My second  year there my family and I wanted to change student loan company from Sallie  Mae to Citi Bank. SCAD Finacial Aid workers said we couldnt do that we only take Sallie Mae again I met students who used other banks. Since I transferred from another school some of my credits transferred over for example my math classes. One of my classmates transferred from the same school as me and made the same grade as I did in math but her math didn't transfer. SCAD claims that it depends on who you have as your academic counselor but that doesn't seem right. Their rules should be the same regardless of who your counselor is. When ever I need to talk my advisor they where never available or they conviently quit.

I was never offered internships by my professors and their excuse was "your a single parent it would be hard for you". When I asked the Career Counselor if they could help me find a job they told me no they have none and hung up on me. No I don't have a job and now I can't pay my school loans. SCAD is not worth the money your best bet is going to a state college.
