Schmutz and Schmutz Kate Schmutz My rights were not represented. This led to the total chaos of the divorce and my llife. Charleston, South Carolina
Kate Schmutz was my attorney for my divorce case. She never explained to me my rights. And she never represented my rights either. All she cared about was getting paid.
Now, I live very meagerly and my health is not getting better. Kate Schmutz never questioned me about my health condition. So, now having to work two full time jobs to pay child support in which I could never afford in the first place is very stressful. I told Kate Schmutz that I would have to live in a homeless shelter if I had to pay child support. But, she didn't care. Also, my ex-husband moved to another state so, both the State of South Carolina and the other state in which my ex-husband is living in are trying to collect child support from me for the same four children. I was told that the case in South Carolina was supposed to be closed five years ago. But, it is still open. This is destroying my credit.
The state of in which I presently reside in could care less too. They said if I have to prostitute myself to pay child support, that I should do it.

Steve was great for me. He represented me well, with kind courteous advice. I am still in touch 5 years later, as his help was so valuable it had a lasting impression on my life. What I was dealing with was very difficult, Steve helped me navigate through it, and I am so grateful. I'm sorry this person had a bad experience, but I wanted to throw out the good experience I had. Thank you Steve!

Mrs. Schmutz came highly recommended and she didn't disappoint. You can tell she has tremendous experience in her field and she was also able to answer all the legal questions that I had. She focused in on what was important to me and was able to quickly secure the result I wanted. I would recommend her to anyone going through a divorce.

Kate Schmutz (formerly Kate Cunningham) was once employed as an assistance South Carolina state prosecutor in the Charleston, SC area. She was caught illegally snooping around in her supervisors office, without authorization and illegally accessing and entering his office computer and allegedlly tampering with and access all of his computer files. This led to her termination of employment as a government lawyer. In a nutshell, and based on other information concerning her character, myself I would take my business elsewhere and to someone who is not in the clique with corruption.

Kate Schumtz is an unfair attorney. She never thought of how was I to live and pay my bills. Now, I am technically homeless. My ex-husband never wanted to work when we were married. So, he got custody of the kids. As a result, I am responsible for paying the child support. Now, he still does not want to work. I hope Kate is happy. She preaches Christiananity as part of practice. But, she is a hypocrite.

Kate recently helped represent me in a probate matter. What would have been an expensive and time consuming process ended up being resolved in a few weeks. I found it very pleasant working with Kate. She was always easy to get in touch with, gave me frequent updates to let me know what was going, and let me know what to expect.
With Kate representing me, I was confident that I was in good hands. I would recommend her services to anyone needing a lawyer in Charleston. This was by far the best experience I've had with an attorney. You can expect a reasonable, fair, attorney, who will deliver on their promises.
