Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Here is my experience with them and few others were with me at the same class. Class started with 27 and were only 11 when I was relieved. I'm pretty sure couple more were flunked. This is very common for entire trucking industry. Because of the lies and sweet words recruiters tell candidate. Dont take simple answers from a recruiter if you are to talk to one. Schneider training is only 3 weeks and only one week of that is OTR or being the wheel training, which is one of the shortest in the industry. Now reasons why more than half of the class were dismissed by Schneider... Because all the dismissed candidates including myself were fresh out of CDL school. If your school sucked and you did just enough to pass DPS road test, you will learn next to nothing at Schneider. They have good and safe concepts for truck driving but they do not dedicate time nor the effort into students. And guess what, all the students were in orientation and passed to the next phase of the training drove for months or years for other carriers and they already knew how to drive a truck. As for students out of CDL school, one week of OTR training isn't going to make much difference for the majority. They say this to failed students "you should go back to school where you got your training and have a refresher course and if you want you can come back." Well what is Schneider training academy good for, if they cant rain people??? This is another trick, they tell you, you will have another week of otr training if you didnt pass the road test after the first week of otr training. Well, they let me go at the beginning of the second week.

In short, if you just obtained your cdl and you still have doubts about your skills, Schneider isn't a place for you. If you think you nailed it at the CDL school and you can pull it off in a week, you should go. I liked their concepts of driving and loved it how much they talk about safety. Just for the record, Schneider let a 300 truck account go, and pulled all 300 trucks out off customers lot, because what customer was asking was not do-able in a safe manner. So it is a good company with a bad training program.
