Scott Brine and Joanne Crooker order and received their wedding invitations. USPS was delayed in their delivery by one day however the package was received. After 2 weeks since the package was delivered he then out of the blue decided he didnt want to pay for them and proceeded with a chargeback. I have several emails indicating that they received the package however he files under a "Code 30" item not received. Since paypal and visa err on the side of the customer right away they took $445 out of my bank account. This then caused a check to bounce leading to other bank fees. I have talked to this customer several times and he is refusing to pay for his items or at least send them back. He has mailed out his wedding invitations and received them for free. The only person that is out anything is me.

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Tue, September 11, 2012

I am sorry to any one wasting the few minutes to read my comments or the comments of Brandy Williams of ReesieGirl Designs and ReesieGirl Designs LLC.  I suggest you stop reading this dispute go find your nearest loved one and give them a hug.

I would also like to point out my business has nothing to do with this transaction. I have never given Ms Williams my business information nor did it have anything to do with this transaction. My attorneys have been notified of the defamatory comments. The following comments of mine are against my attorneys' recommendations and will be my only public comments to this claim.

As with any young couple in love, Joanne and I were thrilled with picking our wedding invitations. The sample Ms. Williams provided was incredible. Ms Williams was very responsive when setting up the wording for the invitations. We paid for half of the invitations in May 2012.

We were told the invitations would be ready mid July. On July 14, we were told the invitations were close to shipping and Ms. Williams wanted full payment for the invitation. On July 16, we sent final payment to Ms. Williams via PayPal from one of our credit cards.

We would also like to point out that on July 11 we were sent an email saying Ms. Williams company, ReesieGirl Designs was becoming ReesieGirl LLC. This prompted our email asking about the invitations because we thought a company name change suspicious.

We waited patiently for the invitations to arrive. They were supposed to be shipping around July 16th and only coming from Virginia to Massachusetts. By July 26, we still hadn't received the invitations.  We sent out an email asking for an update. We were getting worried because we had paid in full. We also noticed her website on etsy.com, where we ordered the invitations, had disappeared. Also, her business had a legal name change. We began to feel like Ms. Williams was a scam. The company had a name change and the website we ordered from was no longer existent.

Three days later on July 29, we finally got a vague response. It said "your package has been placed with the courier, please allow 24-48 hours before you can view it on USPS website." It said an email from PayPal would give us the tracking number.

We did get an email from PayPal listing the tracking number. It was tracking number, 03113260000166968453, and the status in the email said shipped.

We waited and checked the USPS website often. The tracking number never came up as shipped.

On August 3, 4 days after the 24-28 hour allowed delay to view the tracking info online, we emailed Ms. Williams again.

I hope you can feel our panic at this point. This was 18 days after the promised delivery date of mid July. We had paid Ms. Williams in full on July 16 and had still not received the invitations! We had so many revisions to our emails we wanted to send Ms Williams. They started out very nasty. I kept telling Joanne, we are kind people, lets give her the benefit of the doubt. I partly said this because we had at this point contacted our credit card company and starting an internal dispute. Our credit card company said they would take care of us and felt sorry for the trouble we were receiving. Our once in a life time dream Wedding invitations were paid in full and 18 days late!

The response to our August 3rd email was another vague email. Ms Williams said, "I just received the email from my shipper, Expected Delivery Tuesday 8/7, Guaranteed by Wednesday Noon, Express Mail USPS, all the tracking numbers did change."

She did not give us the tracking information. Nor has she provided us with a valid excuse as to why the invitations had not arrived mid July.

By Wednesday, we had not received the invitations. She guaranteed the invitations by Wednesday 8/8 in her last email.

When we emailed Ms. Williams on Wednesday, August 8, after not receiving the invitation by the guaranteed date, we received an auto response saying, "I will be in Fulfillment all week, I will have limited access to email during the day but will be checking it in the evening. Thank You."

We did not receive our invitations by mid July. I have the box to prove the invitations were finally shipped on 8/8/12 at 1PM. They were guaranteed to be in hand on August 8th, not shipped that day.

We received such emails over the course of this nightmare refereeing to shipment centers, couriers, incorrect return address because of her business name change. All seemed so absurd because at this point we knew Ms. Williams lived only a block or two from a post office. Ive never heard of the post office not shipping a package because an invalid return address - they don't even check the return address.  Also note, Ms. Williams hand wrote and shipped the invitations from the post office near her house.

Ms. Williams shipped them to my address in Watertown, MA. We asked them to be shipped to Joanne's parents address when we submitted our final PayPal payment. Isn't it traditional for the Bride's parents to send the invitations? I was shocked to find the invitations on my door step on Monday August 13th when I returned from a long weekend. Ms Williams shipped them to the wrong address! The box was soaking wet. We had harsh rain over the weekend. The bottom envelopes were wet but the invitations were ok. We were shorted one invitation. The response cards were preprinted with both our names on it and my shipping address. Joanne and I do not live together nor do we want our family and friends thinking we live together before marriage. We did not ask for pre-printed response cards with my address.  The response envelopes needed Joannes parents address.

Ms Williams shipped our invitation 25 days late! Both envelopes were a mess and needed to be replaced. Our invitations, however, were beautiful!

We did proceed with the complaint with our credit card company when the invitations were not received by August 10th at Joanne's parents address. This was 24 days after payment!

We have never denied receiving the invitations after I found the wet box on my door step (the wrong door step).

I have offered Ms Williams two settlement amounts which she has not addressed. She has not addressed why we were missing one invitation or offered any discount for her terrible service and the replacement value of the envelopes.

Ms Williams has provided me 3 or 4 wrong email addresses for her attorney. All the emails I have sent to her attorneys have come back undeliverable as if she simply made the email addresses up. What type of an attorney has a ymail account and a non-deliverable ymail account?   I did a simply internet search for her attorney and emailed him my information about two weeks ago but have heard nothing.

Brandy Williams is clearly a liar - she lied to us about the delivery date, she lied to us about tracking information on more than one occasion, and she lied about her attorney . I have offered her settlement options with no response. At this point, Joanne and I will wait for our Credit Card Company and Paypal to settle this dispute.

Sorry for my long email. Please understand our frustration with Ms. Brandy Williams and ReesieGirl Designs and ReeseiGirl LLC. How could we not file a dispute 24 days after our invitations were not received? Ms Williams provided us with false tracking information. She also provided us with a guaranteed delivery date which was not met.

We came to learn we are not her first victims. Please see the following link:

Again, please realize we have offered to settle this case. Our invitations for one of the most important days of our lives were almost a month late. Ms. Williams has used my business to post this complaint. Shame on you! We have certainly searched for Ms Williams on the web. She has used both her under age children's name to open businesses. Reesie is her daughter. Shame on you for defaming her name!  She has other complaints of false and very late shipments on the web. SHAME ON YOU BRANDY WILLIAMS.

You are naive enough to think this is anything beyond a legal contracts case. You failed to deliver your end of the contract in a timely manner. You would never be able to collect anything beyond the agreed upon price but that would be considering you upheld your end of the contract. We have numerous emails proving your ineptness as a business person. You lied on too many occasions and have been caught.  You have also opened yourself up to further litigation by including my business which has nothing to do with this transaction and possibly using the name of an attorney who appears not to be your attorney.

if anyone is in the same boat as us with Brandy Williams of ReesieGirl Deisgns and ReesieGirl LLC, please let me know. I can offer some advice.
