My family and I drove 80 miles to shop for exercise equipment at SEARS in Annapolis Mall. Walked into the SEARS store and could not find a single sales person who could or would help me.

Several sales people walked by, but when I asked for asssitance they replied they did not handle that department. Finally the sales person did arrive to find a mile long line at the counter for check out.

I waited in line for another 20 minutes only to have the sales person leave again. We decided to go to lunch and come back, hoping a manager or someone would appear. When we returned an hour later, there was a manager present but she was trying to cover two registers and now the line for the check out was 5 miles long. After waiting another 20 mins for some assitance, we finally gave up and went home.

I decided to try my local SEARS store in the Wildwood shopping center in California, MD, but they were even worse than the SEARS in Annapolis. I ordered a combination stackable washer & dryer.

The sales person told me SEARS only delivers to my area (20 min drive)on Fridays, which I thought was absurd but I took Friday off from work to wait for my delivery.

I called SEARS at 10:00 Friday morning to inquire as to what time my new appliance would be delivered. They politely told me the driver did not come in until 11:00 a.m. and it took him time to load up etc. Well at 12:30 I called back and the driver still had not shown up for work (which by the way, he lives across the street from SEARS).

At 1:00 I called back and SEARS said driver is here and I was #9 on the list and they could not tell me what time my new appliance would be delivered. So after wasting an entire day of leave, the SEARS driver showed up at 6 o'clock p.m. He goes to install the item and he doesn't have the right vent or something..... Go figure.

I should have learned my lesson then and there, but I gave them one more try. I ordered a refrig, again I was told delivery on Friday only.

I took the day off from work again, and waitied and waited. I called and again the same scenario as above. The delivery person finally showed up at my home at 8:30 p.m. Can you beleive it! 8:30 p.m. on a Friday night.

And if that wasn't bad enough, the delivery guy bangs up the refrig bringing it in the house and then he hits my freshly painted kitchen wall and puts a giant gash in it.

When they unboxed the refrig I noticed a wide black mark down the right side of the refrig, but the delivery guy insisted it was just glue from the box. Guess what, it was not glue.

The refrig had been scrapped or dragged at some point and I paid $1400 for this one item. I can assure you that SEARS will never, ever, ever see another penny of my hard earned money. And as a general note I am the oldest of 9 children. I've passed the word to all my brothers and sisters. Don't deal with SEARS, they don't understand the concept of customer service or satisfaction.
