Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I ordered a shaft for a rototiller on May 4th. After waiting 10 days I got parts that were rusty, pitted, and unusable. The gasket was rolled into a ball and put in this same small box. It was also torn and not useable. A call to Sears yielded more policy, and procedure explainations from them.

They spend more time talking than listening. They have shipped the replacement parts next day air. I find this interesting since I asked that they be sent 2nd day air to begin with. Not snail mail to arrive 10 days after ordering. I was told they did not have that service available. Did I miss something here?

The more interesting point was made by my supervisor at work when he said that someone actually picked up this rusty part and put it in the box. I added that it was picked by one person and packed by another. this part was no doubt part of an inventory because it did not get this way in 2 or 3 months. It had scale on it.

At least 3 different people saw this and did nothing. sears is till more interested in looking good than taking care of the problem with the packing and the vendor. There was no effort to preserve this part in any way. It was simply left to rust. Leaving me quite litereally with the "Rusty Shaft"

Just to let you know speak with store with which you purchased your tiller. The associates and or the manger can take care of you and get you a new tiller. Stay away from parts and service they give the associates the run around when we try to deal with them. I'm sorry for the problem.I have worked in Lawn Garden for three years while finishing College.

Customer service still the same and the second shaft finds the wrong home.

After many conversations with Sears parts I have contacted the Executive offices and am told that the parts department is the only one that can handle this.

Airborne Express has successfully deliverd my replacement to another home. Which no doubt, does not have the rototiller in pieces all over the garage floor waiting for parts. The neighbors do not have it and I have not found it on my property.

It also appears as though the second box has a gasket that has been rolled into a ball and stuffed in the box which will make it useless. Do not have the box but suspect that based on Airborne telling me it was in a "small box" last night at 1AM.

I have asked these questions of people at Sears and have gotten that answer that closely approximates the "deer in the headlight stare" from these people.

What if the department you are working with is so disfunctional it cannot resolve this? Same response, go to the parts department. We can not help you at the Executive offices.

How long do you expect to have your job? The get pissed. They obviously have forgotten about Wards already. Same problems, different name. No concept of why they are losing money and market share.

Would you like to be treated this way? "We are sorry for the trouble you have had." If you were you would get off your butt and do something about it.

As I am sitting here a man driving a van from Washington state drops off this package on my door step at 8:45 AM. I thought it was already here yesterday. There is way too much stupidity for me.

As I suspected the gasket was mangled and folded, the shaft is again rusted, pitted and has scale on it. I was again transfered from the Executive offices to parts. Amazing!
