I purchased Unitron Indigo Moda BTD (2) hearing aids from Newport Audiology Center,list price $5800, less 40% and $800 thru Secure Horizon plan. Checking internet for pricing,information about the hearing aid, discovered (((competitor's name redacted)))has same for $2399 each, (((competitor's name redacted))) was $2099 each, (((competitor's name redacted)))was $1295 for same hearing aid!

Secure Horizon setups contractors who inflate their prices to the consumers,alleges theres a big savings by enrolling in the optional plan by Secure horizons!!!! Guess so, insurance makes $40 a month, contractor triples the cost of the product to the consumer!!!! should be legal action taken as we are on fixed incomes and retired!!!

Hello, I would like to address the report as an employee of Newport Audiology Centers. This reason hearing aids are less expensive when you purchase online is that you are only purchasing the product. When you purchase hearing aids from Newport Audiology Centers you are purchasing an all inclusive service package. Newport Audiology Centers employs licensed hearing health care professional to perform an audiological evaluation. After the audiological evaultion the licensed hearing healthcare professionals perform a hearing aid evalution to assess a patient's communication needs and lifestlye to recommend the most appropiate hearing aid. When a patient purchase a hearing aid, they are purchasing the hearing aid, follow-up care for the lifetime of the hearing aid, a year supply of batteries, and the repair, loss, damage and warranty is usually longer. We also provide expert counseling regarding any communication or hearing issues for the lifetime of the hearing aid. Follow-up care consist of yearly hearing test to monitor hearing sensitivity, hearing aid programming as needed, minor in office repairs etc. As a hearing care professional I can report that communication success for a hearing impaired individual usually begins with the purchase of a hearing aid. Counseling and hearing aid maintenance play a key role in improved communication ability. Once explained, I think most would understand why Newport Audiology Centers inclusive plan is more expensive than just purchasing a product with no service plan online.
