To All who may read this,

I am a disabled woman who has been taken by this company. They told me one thing and done something else. For over a year, they took money out of my account and when I approached them with what they had done..thinking maybe there was some kind of mishap..the president of the company, Brad Williams, told me that i would not get a dime back of my money.

I have attempted to take legal action against these people but was told that it would cost me more to hire a lawyer than what i could get back. I wish i had a good source to get the help i needed to shut the company down. They are stealing peoples money! They lead you to believe they are going to help you and all the do is take, cheat and lie to get your money. They know that the people who call are desperate! If they didnt need help with their prescriptions..they wouldnt call! No money..no lawsuit..they are home scott free!

I was trying to get my disability started back in 2007. I didnt know when i would get it but i had filed. In the mean time..I needed my medicines! I started researching on the internet to find some help.

Much to my chagrin, I found SelectCare Benefits Network. I called them and told them i needed some help. Oh, they were very nice. Sympathetic and caring. They told me they could help me get my medicines. All I had to do was join the company with a membership of $50.00. I felt a bit pressured but agreed because they said the fee was to start the proceedings to get me in the system, and since their company was still young..only seven years..they couldnt send me the packet that i had to get filled out by my doctor and my signature to okay the send the medicines to my doctors.

In passing, I casually mentioned that my husband was disabled too. I said we may have to get him on the program as well. I named a few of his medicines. They said that they would send the packet. They did...my disability came thru..i didnt send the packet back. They didnt care! They had my account number and started taking the money the very next month. Not only my medicines..my husbands too!! Thank the Lord..I didnt tell them what ALL we were on..I wouldnt have a dime to live on!

In their website..it states...anyone on medicaid..isnt entitled to the program...I AM ON MEDICAID! When i called them..BRAD WILLIAMS told me..he wouldnt give me a dime back!

This company took money from my account every month for over a year! One day...$40.00...another day...$60.00!

I became over drawn in 2009. I went to the bank and ask why. The company came up..and i called them. I had totally forgot about them. I didnt think anymore about it when I didnt send the packet it back..no signature..no doctors orders..no membership...my daughter which takes care of my banking statements..thought the draft was for my CPAP! She had just accepted it because i had not thought to tell her about it.

I hope everyone who reads this...Beware! These people..from the top..Brad Williams..to the bottom...is cheats and they lie.

My daughter checked the BBB in Texas and found that their rating is F! They also have another company whose rating is F!

They got my money...please dont let this happen to you!! They took my money and i never got one medicine from them or help to get any medicines.

just to let everyone know..i did receive some of my money back..but not all of it. I had to go to my Congressman..and he helped me get it. I am really hoping that there will be a suit against these people. I will be glad to testify against them.

Why take advantage of anyone? What has happened to honesty and hard work?

Out of the 1125.00..i managed to get $850.00 from this company. The rest i am entitled to and that company knows it. Most of the money that they took..was for my husbands prescriptions..and he didnt even talk to them. I mention in casual to them, he was on meds and they were expensive. The girl asked me what they were..i told her two of them..thank God i didnt tell her all of them..

There was no packet sent back..no doctor saying what meds i needed..no signatures from either my doctor or myself...There no money supposed to be taken until they had all the proof that i was low income..and in need of help with medicines.

No advocate called me either..

Get in touch with your Congressman..have all your bank statements with you. Then let them handle it for you. I intend to go back and let my congressmans office know..by sending me a partial refund..they admitted their guilt.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I have spent some time going over your case with our Advocate Team, and I think that you will find the resolution to meet your expectations. I know that you signed up with our service and chose not to use it during your one year membership. We spoke on January 14, 2009 and I explained your membership to you. You were angry that you had signed up for a one year membership and then forgotten about it, just as you state above in your own words. What you did not say in your words above is you complained to the Better Business Bureau and Select Care responded quickly to your complaint. Select Care even offered mediation through the Better Business Bureau but you declined. It is very unfortunate that you chose not to take advantage of your membership. Select Care could have stopped drafting you at any time during your membership had we just heard from you, but you never called or sent a letter during your membership. When you finally contacted Select Care, we did stop your monthly membership dues. I am surprised that you signed up for a one year membership and then chose to merely forget about everything and never call us when the draft on your account clearly stated Select Care. We do regret the experience that you had when you were a member. We are certainly happy to offer you a free 6 months of membership. We are confident that in this time period of using your membership, you will not only receive your medications but also be very happy with our ability to assist you in receiving your medications. If you are on Medicaid, then simply send proof of when it started and Select Care will refund you back to that date. Please contact us at 512-406-5057 so that we can get you started. Sincerely, Brad Williams SCBN Customer Care Manager 512-406-5057 [email protected] www.SCBN.org
